Salisbury Maryland Mayor Jake Day Sticks His Nose In Ocean City's Business Again Today

  1. You don’t live in OC, JD. You can’t stand to miss an opportunity to put your foot in your mouth. This is NOT your business.

  6. Where does he get the billion dollar figures from! Liberals like always pull numbers out of their A**! The only thing democrats know how to do is tax and spend others people's money! Look at Detroit!

  7. There is no bond with OC and Salisbury.

  8. He would probably have them build windmill blades on the plaza for 3rd Friday

  9. I heard Jake Day say a whole lot of nothing. Did anyone hear what the subject of his short speech was? I be damned if I heard anything but a bunch of political doublespeak with no substance much less any particular subject he was talking about! Can any one point out the subject?

  13. I'm sure he'll have something profound to say that will dazzle the attendees at the Civic Center during the holiday celebration. And I bet he weaves his struggles into his spiel.

  14. Wind is not worth it. A scientist I saw said if Central Park was full of windmills in NYC, there would not be enough power for the subway system. Basically, it does not work. If the progressives were so concerned about global warming they would all be pushing nuclear. and figuring out how to get India and China to play along. I am totally against these windmills. AND - We need to stop politicking everything. Jake is butting in for the publicity. Things are shaky, I am sure, for him to be the running mate for Franchot, especially since his wife has been arrested. He's the SELFIE QUEEN.

  15. Jake doesn't think we know the medicine was for him, and not for his wife. He is a disgrace and without any morals. But then, he is a democrat.

  16. Production and exorbitant maintenance costs completely wipe out any economic benefits, especially off shore in a corrosive saltwater environment. There is also a major effect on wildlife. These things kill birds, lots of birds, Liberals don’t care if it makes them money.

  17. Climate change is a fake and a hoax. It gets defended by a long series of lies and in the end is just a cover for global communism. Not one proposed solution to climate change actually would do one thing about the problem. All of the blame is laid at the west which isn’t causing the problem if it were real and we cannot even raise one question about China and India that are the big pollution sources.
But I will lay out examples.
    • Polar Bears were going to go extinct and bluntly they are proliferating greatly.
    • Seas were going to flood entire nations by 2000. So far not one nation has been flooded yet.
    • Global Warming was going to be cooking humanity and our crops by 2000 and bluntly it still isn’t happening.
    • We are blamed for emitting CO2 when it allows our crops on just 43% as much land as 1960 to feed almost 2 times the number of people.
    • We were told that our people would be starving to death by 2000 when in reality we have almost banished hunger.
    • Not one prediction of climate change has come true.

  18. Jake Day is shameless. He's just looking for a camera and some air time to try to impress franchot with his ability to spread BS! He was on PAC 14 again rambling about the art scene downtown. It's obvious who is really consuming Adderall in his family. Day just rambles on talking in circles

  19. Remember the single windmill at Chesapeake College? Well, the last time I drove by there, it was gone. If Chesapeake realizes it's not valuable, why does the state think it will be?

    1. Don't base your thoughts on what colleges are doing. Look what they're doing to our youths.

  20. 8:00 AM:

The windmill at Chesapeake broke down and the college deemed the cost of fixing it was more than tearing it down. Go to YouTube.com and search for windmill failure.

    1. 10:28, same story I heard and it makes sense. Now wait till the ones in Ocean City fail and the owners walk away and abandon them off shore.

Guess who will be paying for their costly removal??? All Maryland taxpayers will be footing that bill!!

  21. As Lt Governor, Day will need to tackle these issues head on...

    ReplyDelete
  22. the break down and repair costs at the college and elsewhere is one minor little detail that the Jake Days of the world don't want you peons to know. Look at how the blades are being disposed, buried in the ground. You know that's not good for the water sheds, and the Bay.

  23. Makes sense to me that he participated.
Oh yea, he was RE Elected by an 85% margin

    1. @10:11 pm Ummm.... 85% isn't much when he recieved less than 1,500 votes out of 36,000 residents of Salisbury. That is nothing to brag about!

      Delete
  24. 85 % proves to me most people are just fed up ,given up and disgusted.SALISBURY is looking more like Rehoboth,DE every day and that is nothing to be proud of.We can now expect fewer home owners and more low income rentals .SO SAD-MANY OF US USED TO BE PROUD TO CALL SALISBURY HOME
BTW- I WOULD NOT CONSIDER GOING DOWNTOWN AFTER DARK.

  25. Dozens of elected officials spoke out against those damn Windmills and Jake Day was the only one in opposition! Proves he is a $hit stirring trouble maker who knows nothing about politics! Can't wait until he gets run over riding his bike on Waverly Drive!

  26. Jake Day thinks there is a bond between Ocean City and Salisbury??? If there ever was he ruined it now.

  30. Jake was ONLY there to fatten his pocketbook with Orsted cash.
As a DE and MD property owner I was at the public meeting in DE for windmills and cable crossings and Jake's salisbury bike buddy friend was at both. I think he has something to do with, or works for, Orsted (look into kickbacks)?
It's all about money for Jake; help his buddy make money off over priced energy and he'll funnel money to Jake's campaign.
Jake speaking his malarkey is all part of checking his liberal to-do list (arts check, gay sidewalks check, bike lanes check, urban planning check, sanctuary city check, drug dependent spouse check, geese cleansing, the list goes on).
The people of OC and DE have spoken and they don't want windmills or cable crossing.
This is NOT about green energy, this is about Orsted running out of time to deliver on O'Malley's 2 billion dollar, tax payer, giveaway. Without bigger mills, closer locations, and cable crossings they'll need another 2 billion.
Every step of the way Orsted has looked for handouts from the public in order to line their pockets and Jake's campaign.

Follow the money Joe, you’re on to something.

First, who is his bike buddy. Some of us can't stand it when you MORON's just drop hints. Name names, a$$hole!!

Second, you are correct of Jake Day getting his pockets fattened. Jake does not have a real job and his wife is about to lose hers for having sex with high school students for their drugs. I think Jake is lining up his donors for his "Jake for Maryland" campaign. If he isn't named as Peter Fanchot's running mate you can bet he will more than likely run against his buddy Carl Anderton for Delegate of Addie Eckhardt for State Senator. I think that will be funny as Hell since they both are always on his FB pages loving on all of Jake's comments. Either way, anyone that votes for Jake Day in future elections are mentally insane.

I took these first two pics last weekend, at Deep Creek Lake. These are actual wind turbines, which have been in place along a mountain ridge surrounding the lake for about 5 years or so. These turbines are approximately 5 miles away. And they sit on top of a mountain. From the middle of Deep Creek Lake, you can see dozens of these turbines. For those who have never been to Deep Creek, here are a few facts: it is a very popular summer tourist/vacation area; housing prices there resemble those in Ocean City, w “entry” house values at $250k and high end luxury homes in the $4 million range; weekly rental rates in the summer are very similar to those in Ocean City; activity on the lake on a summer weekend is heavy, much like activity on the beach is heavy in the summer; Deep Creek is an invaluable asset to the Garrett County economy, just as Ocean City is an invaluable asset to the Worcester County and State of Maryland economies; sunsets are spectacular. I suspect sunrises are too. And here’s the thing: there has not been a downturn in property values, or in the amount of visitors since the turbines were constructed.

The last pic in this post is the view that Ørsted presented to the #mdpsc on Saturday at the public hearing in Ocean City. This rendering was submitted and accepted as accurate by the #mdpsc.

  34. Who the Hell does Mike Dunn think he is?? He is not elected and he is not appointed to represent the citizens of Salisbury and Wicomico County so he just needs to just die a slow death and go away.

He is definitely not elected for Worcester County or Ocean City so just like Jake Day, Mind you own Fricken Business!!
