2 Miami University students tested for possible coronavirus

OXFORD, Ohio —Two students at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio are being tested for a possible infection of the coronavirus, school officials said Tuesday.

On Monday morning, one student at the university presented himself at Student Health Services with very mild symptoms, and with recent travel to China, met the criteria to be tested, school health officials said.

"Health providers quickly recognized that the presenting patient met the criteria for 2019-coronavirus testing, results should be back from the CDC in the coming days," a statement from the university reads.

The student, described only as a male, and his traveling companion are isolated in their off-campus residence while awaiting the test results. According to school officials, only one of these students showed potential symptoms, and the other is being tested as a precaution.

  1. Whiskey and a few blankets turn the heat up. Kills all germs in the body. That’s what we did in the Teams.

  2. 20 Students probably died in the past month, but we didn't hear anything about them.
    This is fear mongering.

The government is in big trouble with the US Dollar, Inflation (under-stated), Debt (out-of-control and un-payable). They are trying to disarm the population and sentiment is moving in their direction as Americans become more and more confused while being increasingly mind-controlled by MSM and education.

    Crazy time to be alive

  3. We live nearby. There are at least 1200 Chinese 'students' here, many of them on full scholarships paid for by the Chinese government.

Somehow I knew this was coming-- they are just getting back this week from the long holiday break.

And they are being 'isolated' in their off-campus apartment.

You think they are staying in, and nobody is coming over? And that there is no spread of infection within the building?

They should have closed the border to all Chinese travelers, or at least quarrantined them for 2 weeks to be sure they had no symptoms.

This situation is not being handled well. I hope Americans will not have to pay for that with their lives.

  5. "..on full scholarships paid for by the Chinese government.."

And you can be sure that the Chinese government is expecting something in return for that. If these people are told to go do something or to get certain kinds of 'information', it isn't a request. They have family back in China.

  6. I know a couple of SU students just arrived back in Salisbury from China. Anyone who has traveled here from China should be tested and strictly quarantined until results are back.

  7. End the student visa programs from our enemy nations. They only come here to spy and learn our latest technologies to take back to their homelands to use against us.

  8. I agree fully, 6:45, but the problem is this-- the foreign students pay full tuition, and the universities scream bloody murder if you try to cut the visas back.

Self-serving? Absolutely, but they are liberals aren't they?

  9. So the universities are aiding the enemy. That's treason.
