A 26-year-old Starbucks barista in the suburbs of Tampa known as Vayne Myers has suffered from anxiety ever since he was a child. A co-worker suggested he try an emotional support animal.
So Mr. Myers bought a duck and named it Primadonna. The snow-white bird has worked wonders for his state of mind.
“Whenever I felt like I didn’t matter in the world,” he said, Primadonna would waddle over and remind him that “something does love you.”
But Mr. Myers’s landlord objected, and demanded proof that Primadonna was a medical necessity and not simply a pet. Mr. Myers provided a letter from a therapist in California who spoke to him over a video chat, and then another note from a counselor who met in person with him (and the duck). But neither document satisfied the landlord, who threatened eviction.

It's On: Cory Booker Slams Biden For Praising Segregationists
Former Vice President Joe Biden is quickly learning that being the early front runner in a crowded Democrat primary isn't always the best position.
As Democrats prepare for their first debates next week, they're going after Biden and scrutinizing his record.
Last night, Biden lamented "incivility" in politics by invoking the names of two former Senators. He used to work with them and they were...segregationists.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Thinks You’re Stupid
When you hear the term "concentration camp," what's the first thing you think of? The concentration of German nationals by Woodrow Wilson during World War One, right? Or maybe the forced concentration of the Whites by the Reds following the Finnish Civil War?
No. You think of the Holocaust of course, which is why it was quite irresponsible for Democratic congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to declare recently that the United States's "fascist government" (Is there a more self-defeating argument than calling the ruling regime "fascist" and facing zero consequences?) is operating "concentration camps." What the government is actually operating are detention facilities to deal with the surge in migrants crossing the Mexican border. To my knowledge, said detention facilities have not yet undertaken the genocide of millions.
So absurd is the comparison and insulting to actual Holocaust survivors that Ocasio-Cortez's only recourse—what with her deathly allergy to apology or self-reflection—was to double-down that teeeeeeechnically "concentration camp" is not synonymous with "death camp," so there.

California Lawmakers Want to Force Pastors to Embrace LGBT Ideology
A resolution proposed by radical Democrats in the California legislature would make pastors embrace a pro-LGBT ideology.
“They say there is a stigma associated with being LGBT that is often created by groups in society, including therapists and religious groups, and that stigma has caused disproportionately high rates of suicide, attempted suicide, and depression,” Dr. David said on The Todd Starnes Radio Show. “What they’re asking is that churches and religious groups change how they’re addressing this (lifestyle).”
Gibbs, president and founder of the Christian Law Association, said churches are trying to help LGBT people.
“We want to reach these people, but we believe that the scriptures absolutely take a stand on this issue, and we can not change the stand that the Bible takes,” he continued. “They’re trying to make it where absolutely the churches and religious groups are being held up as the problem why these LGBT community people feel like they do. Nothing could be further from the truth.”

Colorado Just Hit the $1 Billion Mark in Cannabis Tax Revenue
It’s a pretty extraordinary milestone, and an indicator of just how financially strong the legal marijuana market has become.
In a little more than five years since becoming the first state to legalize recreational cannabis, Colorado says it’s gone past the $1 billion mark in marijuana tax revenue.
According to the Colorado Department of Revenue (CDOR), the state has brought in just over $1.02 billion from marijuana taxes, licensing and fees since legal sales began on January 1, 2014. And to date, cannabis sales in the Centennial State have exceeded $6.56 billion.
Those numbers just keep rising. Colorado dispensaries reportedly sold more than $114.3 million in adult-use cannabis products this past March, a new monthly record.

Statement from Governor Hogan on Supreme Court Peace Cross Ruling
ANNAPOLIS, MD—Governor Larry Hogan today released the following statement regarding the Supreme Court's 7-2 ruling to allow the Bladensburg Peace Cross to stand on public land:
“This is a great victory after we fought tirelessly to keep the Peace Cross standing in recognition of the valor, endurance, courage, and devotion of our World War I veterans. Today’s ruling ensures that this memorial—a dignified tribute to those who came before us and made the ultimate sacrifice—will stand tall and proud for the ages.
"I was honored to help lead this fight on behalf of our veterans, and I am proud that Marylanders and Americans will be able to visit the Peace Cross in Bladensburg for years to come."
Berlin Resident Starts Petition On Main Street Annexation; 700 Signatures Needed For Referendum
BERLIN – A Berlin resident has launched a petition drive in an effort to make the town’s latest annexation a referendum question.
Berlin resident Jeff Smith is asking town voters to sign a petition that would force the town to hold a referendum for the annexation approved by elected officials May 28. The property the town council voted to annex, six acres near the intersection of Route 50 and Route 818, is expected to become the site of a 7-Eleven gas station and convenience store.
“What I want is to give people the opportunity to have a conversation on whether or not this is something the town really wants,” Smith said.
Smith, who’s lived in town for nearly six years, initially asked officials to postpone their decision regarding the proposed annexation. When that did not happen, he said he explored other options and learned residents were able to petition for a referendum. According to the Maryland Municipal League’s Municipal Annexation Handbook, an annexation resolution becomes effective 45 days after its passage unless it is petitioned to referendum. If Smith is able to get 20% of the town’s registered voters — roughly 700 people — to sign his petition for referendum, the town will be required to hold a referendum asking voters for a yes or no vote on the issue.

“The town has designed itself now so that in order to break even we have to keep growing,” he said. “If we continue on this path, growing recklessly and without a vision, we’re going to turn into Salisbury.”

BURGESS OWENS: DEMOCRATIC PARTY SHOULD PAY RESTITUTION TO BLACK AMERICANS
Former NFL player Burgess Owens suggested the Democratic Party should pay reparations to black Americans in congressional testimony Wednesday, because of the “misery” that party has brought to his race.
“I used to be a Democrat until I did my history and found out the misery that that party brought to my race,” Owens, now an author and Fox News contributor said, before going into an in depth review of some of those miseries, for him personally as a descendant of slaves and for black Americans over decades.
“I do not believe in reparations,” he added. “Because what reparations does is, it points to a certain race, a certain color, and points them as evil and points the other race, my race, as one that is not only becomes racist, but also beggars.”
“I do believe in restitution,” he continued. “Let’s point to the party that was part of slavery, KKK, Jim Crow, that has killed over 40% of our black babies, 20 million of them.”

Texas border town declares itself sanctuary city for the unborn: 'Here we will no longer murder our babies'
A Texas border city with a population of about 2,200 has declared itself a sanctuary for the unborn and has banned abortion.
Waskom, Texas, which borders Louisiana 20 miles west of Shreveport, claims to be the first city in the nation to become a "Sanctuary City for the Unborn" by way of a resolution and ordinance unanimously passed by five members of the city council Tuesday night.
The ordinance makes organizations that perform abortions or assist in obtaining them "criminal organizations," such as Planned Parenthood, NARAL Pro-Choice Texas, and others like them.
It was modeled after the city of Roswell, New Mexico's resolution declaring it a "sanctuary city for the unborn." But the Texas ordinance goes even further because it bans abortions within city limits.

Giant great white shark stuns fisherman during real-life ‘Jaws’ moment
Jeff Crilly was out on his boat the “Big Nutz Required II” with some pals Monday when a great white shark swam up to the stem of the boat and grabbed a bag of chum, in a tale reminiscent of the 1975 blockbuster “Jaws.”
“Whoah! This thing is huge!” the group can be heard yelling in a video of the incident posted by Crilly on Facebook.
They continue to cry “holy sh-t!” as the beast approaches and circles the boat, rearing its nose to chow down on a yellow bag of chum.
“Dude that was the coolest f–ing thing I’ve ever seen, oh my God, dude! Once in a lifetime man,” one of the fishermen shouts as the others laugh and cheer in disbelief.

The University of Georgia just got the worst news imaginable about this “Kill Whites” College Teacher
Irami Osei-Frimpong is a black teaching assistant at the University of Georgia (UGA) who advocated killing white people to help black progress.
When the school caught wind of his racist views, they gave him a free pass.
But now, the university just got the worst news imaginable about the racist teaching assistant.
Osei-Frimpong is known as the racist teacher’s assistant at UGA who got into hot water for advocating killing white people.
He also likened southern white people to “autistic kids” and “sociopaths.”

Ocasio-Cortez Caught Lying While Defending Her ‘Concentration Camp’ Comments
Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) doubled down on her egregious comparison of the Trump administration's use of detention facilities on the southern border to concentration camps and the Holocaust.
Ocasio-Cortez made the stunning remarks during an Instagram live video late on Monday night, alleging: "The United States is running concentration camps on our southern border and that is exactly what they are. They are concentration camps. And, um, if that doesn't bother you, I don't, I don't know, I like, we can have, okay whatever."
Ocasio-Cortez doubled down on her false statement, tweeting: "This administration has established concentration camps on the southern border of the United States for immigrants, where they are being brutalized with dehumanizing conditions and dying. This is not hyperbole. It is the conclusion of expert analysis."

Dems' Agenda: Kill Jobs; Pander to Freeloaders
Nine Democratic presidential hopefuls, including front-runners Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, flocked to the Poor People's Moral Action Congress on Monday, each trying to outpander their rivals and promise the most government handouts.
It was an alarming spectacle for anyone who works for a living. These Democratic candidates don't believe jobs are the way to end poverty. For them, "work" is a four-letter word. Their approach is to take money from working stiffs and give it to slackers.
Don't be fooled by the name Moral Action Congress. There's nothing moral about forcing hardworking people to support indolence.
One in every 5 American households already lives entirely or mostly off government benefits. A shocking three-quarters of able-bodied food stamp recipients with no children to care for still don't work, even part time.

California Gun Owners Feel The Repercussions Of Illegal Aliens Obtaining IDs
The California Department of Justice on Monday filed an "emergency regulations" proposal. If adopted, Californians would be required to have REAL IDs to purchase firearms and ammunition beginning on July 1. The proposal is being made despite the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives previously saying Federal Firearms Licensees (FFLs) could continue to non-federally compliant driver's licenses and identification cards.
If a person doesn't have a REAL ID, buyers are required to provide documentation, in conjunction with their non-REAL ID, showing they're legal citizens and are allowed to possess a firearm.

Louie Gohmert heckled by reparations committee crowd: 'You lie!'
Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, was jeered Wednesday during a House Judiciary Committee hearing on creating a commission to study the possibility of reparations after slamming Democrats for what he called their record on racism and discrimination.
Gohmert had earlier submitted to the Congressional Record screenshots from the Democratic Party's website, outlining the organization's history. The Tea Party member then alleged the page omitted information about how the party's platform previously supported or was silent on slavery and segregation, how former Democratic presidents owed slaves, the role Democratic lawmakers played in introducing Jim Crow laws, and the number of Democratic senators who opposed the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
"It is important that we know our history, and we not punish people today for the sins of their predecessors in the Democratic Party," Gohmert said during the Constitution, Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Subcommittee hearing on H.R. 40., the measure that would form the commission.

GOP offers $4.6B border ‘humanitarian’ plan, 86% for ‘migrant care’
Senate Republicans Wednesday offered up a $4.6 billion package for humanitarian assistance on the U.S.-Mexico border, with the bulk going to improve migrant care and relieve the crisis of a record number of illegal immigrants arriving at the border.
At a bill markup hearing before the Senate Appropriations Committee, the package offered by Chairman Sen. Richard Shelby also included funding for 30 new immigration judges to speed the processing of illegal immigrants, a provision supported earlier in the day by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
It is based on President Trump’s earlier request for humanitarian aid. It is targeted to help immigration agencies that have been overwhelmed by the crush of a record number of illegal immigrants arriving at the border.

Fake Uber driver, 35, gets 30 years for sexually assaulting Florida college student
A Florida man who pretended to be an Uber driver to sexually assault a college student has been sentenced to 30 years in prison.
Willie Foust, 35, pleaded guilty to sexual battery last Thursday in Lee County after the victim, an 18-year-old freshman at Florida Gulf Coast University, testified at his trial.
The woman called an Uber to take her back to her dorm from a bar during a rainstorm in August 2017 when Foust spotted her and pulled up, authorities say.
She opened the door and asked him if he was her Uber driver and he said yes, so she got in.
Foust proceeded to drive the victim to a parking lot where he assaulted her.

23-year-old black columnist says reparations would make young black people 'victims without their consent'
A 23-year-old black columnist argued during a Wednesday Senate hearing that reparations should only be paid to those who lived in slavery and not their descendants.
Coleman Hughes, a writer for Quillette, argued that distributing reparations to young black people would make them slavery "victims without their consent," an assertion that was met with an eruption of boos from those in attendance.
"I understand that reparations are about what people are owed, regardless of how well they're doing," Hughes said in his statement. "But the people who are owed for slavery are no longer here and we're not entitled to collect on their debts. Reparations, by definition, are only given to victims. So the moment you give me reparations, you've made me into a victim without my consent. Not just that: you've made one third of black Americans who poll against reparations into victims without their consent."

Local Manatee Sightings Unusual, But They Do Occur
OCEAN CITY — A manatee sighting in the coastal bays near Sunset Marina on Wednesday was not as rare as some might believe for this time of year, but nonetheless the National Aquarium animal rescue team is advising those who spot the far-ranging sea cow to give it plenty of distance and report its location.
On Wednesday evening, a manatee was spotted in the back bays near West Ocean City, and while it is somewhat unusual to see the mammals this far north at this time of year, it certainly isn’t unheard of. The National Aquarium was advised of the manatee sighting and staffers were sent to the area to look for it so far out of its natural range to no avail.
“The National Aquarium was alerted of the sighting, however, our staff was unable to spot the animal in the places that were reported,” an aquarium spokesperson said on Thursday. “We ask the public to please report new sightings to the aquarium’s stranding hotline at 410-576-3880 and stay at least 150 feet away from the animal, including when in boats, paddleboards and kayaks.”

Harvard’s Former Dean of the Faculty Condemns Removing Portraits of White Doctors for ‘Diversity’
A Harvard University Medical School teaching hospital has removed portraits of white doctors in the name of “diversity” and their former Dean of the Faculty is speaking out against the decision.
Former Harvard Medical School Dean Jeffrey S. Flier wrote an op-ed in the Boston Globe slamming the decision as a “mistaken approach” to promoting diversity in medicine.
Flier wrote of seeing the now bare walls, noting that “what I experienced was not diversity, but sterility.”
“I concluded that, despite some valid concerns, removing all the portraits from this historic amphitheater — in this way — was a mistake. Celebrating diversity doesn’t require erasing or suppressing the memories of those who contributed greatly to the institution and the profession — people whose work continues to have impact today,” Flier wrote.

FBI, DHS Contacted Over Stealth Dem Effort to Gain Voter Data
A massive effort to obtain Michigan voter data spearheaded by powerhouse Democratic group Priorities USA was so "unusual" that top officials in the state contacted the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Department of Homeland Security over the matter, internal emails provided to the Washington Free Beacon show.
Michigan clerks began receiving "mystery" Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests last year from an opaque limited liability company, the United Impact Group LLC, seeking a large assortment of voter data from across the state, including ballots cast in the 2016 elections. The efforts were later linked to the Priorities USA Foundation, the separate but affiliated nonprofit arm of Priorities USA Action, the largest outside liberal super PAC.
The requests from the group "unnerved" local clerks, the Detroit News reported at the time.

JUST IN: Supreme Court rules Peace Cross war memorial can stand
The Supreme Court ruled Thursday that a Peace Cross war memorial on public land outside Washington, D.C., can stand, determining in a 7-2 decision that it does not violate the Constitution.
Residents of Prince George’s County, Maryland and the American Humanist Association had sued to have the cross taken down, but the court determined that factors including the history of the memorial support the notion that it is not religious in nature.
“For nearly a century, the Bladensburg Cross has expressed the community’s grief at the loss of the young men who perished, its thanks for their sacrifice, and its dedication to the ideals for which they fought,” Justice Samuel Alito wrote in the court’s opinion.

A Viewer Writes......What every American should know
I received this from my neighbor. It is very interesting.... explains why Nancy Pelosi is backing off from trying to impeach President Trump. I hope it is factual and that Hillary Clinton, Eric Holder, James Comey, Loretta Lynch and other Democrat liars will go to jail
ONE MAN'S OPINION – The writer has a degree in Political Science, and is a card-carrying Libertarian.
I’ve been studying politics and political history for the past 30 years. My specialty is U.S. Presidents. That said, I hope that the House of Representatives impeaches Trump.
Let me tell you what will happen next.
1. The House can pass articles of impeachment over the objections of the Republicans, and refer to the Senate for trial.
2. The Senate will conduct a trial. There will be a vote, and the Republicans will vote unanimously, along with a small number of Democrats, to not convict the President. Legally, it will all be over at that point.
3. However, during the trial, and this is what no one is thinking about right now, the President's attorneys will have the right to subpoena and question ANYONE THAT THEY WANT.. That is different than the special counsel investigation, which was very one-sided. So, during the impeachment trial, we will be hearing testimony from James Comey, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, Bruce Ohr, Glenn Simpson, Donna Brazille, Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch, Christopher Steele, Hillary Clinton, John Brennan, James Clapper, and a whole host of other participants in this whole sordid affair and the ensuing coverup activities.
A lot of dirt will be dug up; a lot of truth will be unveiled. Finger pointing will occur. Deals will start being made, and suddenly, a lot of Democrats will start being charged and going to prison. All this, because, remember, the President's team will now, for the first time, have the RIGHT to question all of these people under oath - and they will turn on each other. That’s already starting.
4. Lastly, one more thing will happen – the Senate will not convict the President. Nothing will happen to Trump. Most Americans are clueless about political processes, the law, and the Constitution. Most Americans believe that being impeached results in removal from office. They don't understand that phase 2 is a trial in and by the Senate, where he has zero chance of conviction. Remember, the Senate is controlled by Republicans; they will determine what testimony is allowed -- and **everything** will be allowed, including: DNC collusion with the Clinton campaign to fix the election in favor of Hillary, the creation of the Trump dossier, the cover up and destruction of emails that very likely included incriminating information. They’ll incriminate each other for lying to the FISA court, for spying and wiretapping the Trump campaign, and for colluding with foreign political actors, especially George Soros.
After the Senate declines to convict the President, we will have an election, and Trump will win. It will be a backlash against democrat petulance, temper tantrums, hypocrisy and dishonesty. Even minorities will vote for Trump, because, for the first time, they will see that democrats have spent 2+ years focused on maintaining their own power, and not doing anything at all about black murders in Chicago, homelessness, opioids, and other important issues that are actually killing people. And, we will spend the following four years listening to politicians and pundits claim that the whole impeachment was rigged somehow.

‘SELF-RIGHTEOUS’: DEM STAFFER HEADED TO PRISON AS PROSECUTORS LOOK TO MAKE EXAMPLE OF HIM FOR POLITICALLY-MOTIVATED CRIMES
A former aide to Sen. Maggie Hassan and Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee is headed to prison Wednesday for what prosecutors said was the largest known data theft in Senate history.
The former aide, Jackson Cosko, pleaded guilty in April to crimes related to an unparalleled effort to ransack a Senate office, extorting a Democratic senator, illegally harming Republicans for their political views, and blackmailing a witness.
Prosecutors asked for nearly five years in prison for Cosko, a onetime congressional IT aide to Hassan. Cosko admitted he stole the New Hampshire Democrat’s data out of revenge for being fired, then used it to doxx Republicans during the Brett Kavanaugh hearings.

ILLINOIS STATE SENATOR THREATENS TO CONFISCATE FIREARMS
An Illinois state senator threatened to confiscate firearms from law-abiding gun owners in lieu of a fine, in a heated exchange captured on video.
The argument took place last week at a town hall hosted by Sen. Julie Morrison (D) during a discussion on SB107, which seeks to ban “assault weapons.”
After a man in the audience pointed out the law claiming “assault weapons” are “dangerous” was pointless because it allows people who pay a fine to keep their guns, Sen. Morrison responded by saying he’d changed her mind and she could now be leaning toward outright confiscation.
“You want me to turn them over to the state police unless I pay a fine for each firearm and register them, then I get to keep them,” the man asked Morrison.

Dianne Feinstein wants people to believe that AR-15s are bad for hunting and home defense
Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) wants people to believe that the most popular rifle platform in the United States — the AR-15 or modern sporting rifle — is only good for shooting innocent people quickly, but not good for shooting game in the wild or protecting one's home.
In a tweet promoting a recent anti-gun op-ed that she wrote together with fellow gun control advocate Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) for Time, Feinstein said that "Guns like the AR-15 aren't used for hunting and they're not viable for home protection. They have only one purpose: fire as many rounds as possible, as quickly as possible."
This is a false claim both in terms of hunting and home defense.
There are several documented cases of law-abiding citizens using a modern sporting rifle to defend themselves and their families. A Townhall op-ed from columnist Scott Morefield has a list of 9 such incidents, just for starters. And despite what opponents of the rifle platform may say about it, the gun is actually very well-suited to home defense due to its lighter weight, lower recoil, and modularity that allows for things like enhanced optics.

TRANSPARENT, COMMON SENSE LEADERSHIP
Hi Salisbury, this is Wayne King, candidate for mayor of Salisbury. Now that Trump has announced his re-election I thought it was time to get mine going. In the next couple of weeks you will start seeing my signs in Salisbury and I will be accelerating my social media exposure. I will also start meeting with some of the leaders of Salisbury. I have met with Bob Culver a couple times... and I will say, I truly believe Bob is doing his best to serve his people, us. He's genuine.
Anyway, let's talk about what I stand for. My main part of my platform is based on crime and safety. Crime is ridiculous here in Salisbury for a relatively small community. We have drug dealing (going on right in the open). You don't have to be Superman with X-ray vision to see it. It is right in front of our faces! As a former business owner for 20+ years, in retail and wholesale, I would not want to drop an anchor here in Salisbury with my business hoping for a grand return on my investment. There is way too much crime in this city.
2. We have more theft per capita than Baltimore. And not too far behind in other categories like rape and murder. That's why our nickname is "Little Baltimore."
3. The stats the city releases are skewed. Look at more reliable websites, like the FBI. Basically, many crimes are being re-categorized. I do understand why it's done, we have a college here and I am sure the parent's of these students google Salisbury before they send their kids here.
Instead, you know what, let's stop lying to "ourselves" and let's clean Salisbury up. Then "we" won't have to lie and skew the numbers.
Everyone has their part in this quest. The people are the first line of defense. Call the hotline, leave an anonymous message if you see something like drug dealing. My police force WILL look into it. Our strongest line of action and defense to these criminals is law enforcement. I am a big advocate and supporter of our police (I was actually a pitching ringer on an all police baseball team 11 years ago back on Long Island, but that's a story for another time). I will give them raises to keep them here. If you were a cop, would you stay in the second most dangerous cities in Maryland and get grossly underpaid? Would you even want to be a policeman or policewoman today with all the negative things said in the media about them? Give these guys credit. They have a tough job. Support them and the pay raise I propose if I am elected. We need law enforcement veterans. Also, if my police force has morale issues, I will get them a leader that will give it to them. I will let them take their gloves off and put handcuffs on the criminals. Heroin dealing must be eradicated as quickly and thoroughly as possible. These thugs are playing Russian roulette with our children's lives. One heroin dealer on the street is too many.
Funny, Trump stole my line last night. "Make Salisbury safe again." He said America...
I am not going to fall into the trap of spending thousands of dollars trying to revitalize the downtown. We will have it ready for commerce by getting the infrastructure up to snuff, but I can't force businesses to come here. Our city has to be enticing to a business owner. They will get their tax breaks, etc.. But the best way for the downtown to be revitalized is to allow it to grow organically. And I will keep saying this; the business will not come here with our crime rate.
Being a former business owner with much life experience in that ring, I know what I would like to see as a business owner. A PLACE CONDUCIVE TO MAKING MONEY. BTW, If I am having trouble drawing businesses here I will call Jake up and see if he would like to build a replica of the Eiffel Tower in the middle of downtown to bring them here. {I am joking, obviously} As Trump explained last night in his speech how great our economy is doing, I was thinking, "where is this?" Not here in Salisbury. We have 27% of our people living below the poverty line. Average household average income is $37,000 (sorry Jake, it is not over 50K).
To improve our economy we need to be pro-active. My business development team needs to learn how to sell. I will teach them. If they don't like sales in the business development department, what are they doing there? Trying to avoid paperwork? Are we marketing Salisbury properly? Are we processing permits for new businesses and approving codes in a timely manner? Good questions.
There are 3 things companies look for:
2. Talent (we have a college right here, unfortunately, if your are a SBY University grad and not in the medical field, you are leaving).
3. Viability (can we make money, can we grow here).
People I am here to tell the truth, which most of you know. "Once the problems are identified, the closer we are to knowing the solution." That's a quote by Steve Jobs. And it is true.
On the other hand, the people of Salisbury are good people, and they deserve better. Give them a reason to work hard and they will. This is one of the reasons I set roots here and bought a house. This city is very similar to the town I am from, Huntington, NY. Almost the exact demographics. I like it here, and I will help this City for the people. Not my political party, not myself. There is a swamp here and I will do my best to dry it up.
Please visit my websites on FB, Instagram, and twitter. I will also have a website that will be improved in couple weeks, but is functional.

Kellogg to Cut 150 Jobs, Take $35M Pretax Hit
Kellogg Co. said on Tuesday it would cut about 150 jobs and take a $35 million hit to trim its North American operations following the sale of Keebler biscuits and a handful of other brands for $1.3 billion in April.
The announcement, small in scale for a company that employs around 34,000 globally, is a month after similar steps in Europe aimed at streamlining Kellogg's operations and focusing on core businesses.
Kellogg, like other packaged food companies, has struggled with surging expenses owing to higher transportation and raw material costs, while consumers have shifted to trendier more health-focused upstart brands.
The company's shares (K) lost around 10% of their value last year and are down by more than a third from peaks hit in mid-2016.

I am a Seenager
I JUST discovered my age group!
I am a Seenager (Senior teenager).
I am a Seenager (Senior teenager).
I have everything that I wanted as a teenager,
only 55-60 years later.
I don't have to go to school or work.
I get an allowance every month.
I have my own pad.
I don't have a curfew.
I have a driver's license and my own car.
I have ID that gets me into bars and the wine store. I like the wine store best.
The people I hang around with are not scared of getting pregnant, they aren't scared of anything, they have been blessed to live this long, why be scared?
And I don't have acne.
Life is Good!
Also, you will feel much more intelligent after reading this,

Brains of older people are slow
because they know so much.
People do not decline mentally with age;
it just takes them longer to recall facts because they have more information in their brains.
Scientists believe this also makes you hard of hearing

People do not decline mentally with age;
it just takes them longer to recall facts because they have more information in their brains.
Scientists believe this also makes you hard of hearing
as it puts pressure on your inner ear.
Older people often go to another room to get something and when they get there, they stand there wondering what they came for. It is NOT a memory problem;
it is nature's way of making older people do more exercise.
SO THERE!!
I have more friends I should send this to, but right now I can't remember their names.
So please forward this to your friends; they may be my friends, too.

Defense attorneys release video of Georgia officers using stun gun on 87-year-old woman
CHATSWORTH, Georgia (WTVC) - Defense attorneys for an 87-year-old Syrian refugee have released police bodycam video of an incident that made national headlines last August.
Chatsworth Police arrested Martha Al-Bishara after officers said she would not drop a knife that she was holding. Officers eventually used a stun gun on Al-Bishara, who did not speak English and was unable to understand the officer's commands.
Al-Bishara and her husband are immigrants from Syria who have been living in Chatsworth for the past 20 years.
On Aug. 10, 2018, officers responded to a 911 call about a woman with a knife on the property of the Boys and Girls Club.
