FBI: Company Faked White-Collar Jobs for 1,900 Chinese Migrants
The U.S. government awarded hundreds of work permits in 2017 to a front company that, according to an FBI statement, trafficked almost 2,000 Chinese graduates into the U.S. white-collar labor market.
The March 28 FBI document alleges that a Chinese migrant named Weiyun Huang took money to issue fraudulent claims of employment to Chinese students who were seeking to get “Optional Practical Training” work permits. Huang was arrested March 26, the document says.
Huang’s firm helped roughly 1,900 Chinese migrants get OPT work permits for various white-collar jobs in the United States, the document said. Other federal data shows the company got 732 OPT workers in 2017.
The alleged white-collar job theft is also tied to national security concerns. One beneficiary of Huang’s alleged OPT fraud was arrested in late 2018 for suspected espionage via the “MAVNI” program, which recruited foreigners for the military.
The federal investigation began shortly after Huang’s California-based company, Findream, was spotlighted in a March 21 Breitbart News article, and it comes as many Senators and Representatives push a bill — H.R.1044 and S.386 — that would help U.S. investors outsource many more white-collar jobs via the OPT program to graduates imported from China and India.

PRAGER: Are Women Malcontents?
I have decided to finally read what is widely regarded as the literary work that unleashed the modern feminist movement, Betty Friedan's "The Feminine Mystique."
I am halfway through the book, and I find it to be a well-written cri de coeur (cry from the heart). Historically speaking, there was always much to lament regarding the status of women. Though I have none of the contempt Friedan has for "housewifery," her description of women who felt they had no sense of self because they were only someone's wife and some children's mother is emotionally compelling.
But a big and troubling thought hit me while reading the book. In the 56 years since "The Feminine Mystique" was published, every complaint Friedan made regarding the situation of the American woman has been addressed. Few American women are forced into "housewifery." The few women who choose to place marriage and home over career have truly chosen to do so; it is the rare young woman for whom marriage and family are greater goals than a successful career. Nor do women any longer go from high school to the wedding chapel. They go from high school to college and often graduate school. In fact, far more women go to college than men.
Yet, if you were to listen to many American women today, you would think nothing has improved. Every women's group and millions of individual women say women are "oppressed" despite the fact that virtually nothing remains of the "feminine mystique" described by Friedan.

Shamima Begum is on legal aid despite being stripped of UK citizenship: Fury as jihadi bride’s legal fees are paid by taxpayers
Jihadi bride Shamima Begum has been granted legal aid to fight the decision to remove her citizenship, the Mail can reveal today.
In a decision blasted as ‘disgusting’ and ‘ridiculous’ by MPs, lawyers have successfully asked for taxpayers’ cash on her behalf, arguing that Home Secretary Sajid Javid’s decision was unfair on the 19-year-old Islamic State acolyte.
It means taxpayers face a legal bill which could run into hundreds of thousands of pounds to fund the former Londonschoolgirl’s fight to come back to the UK. She is currently in a refugee camp in Syria.

RACCOON TESTS POSITIVE FOR RABIES IN WICOMICO COUNTY
RACCOON TESTS POSITIVE FOR RABIES IN WICOMICO COUNTY
(April 15, 2019, Salisbury, MD) On April 15, 2019, a raccoon tested positive for rabies in the Pemberton Drive area near Pemberton Park in Salisbury, Maryland. The Wicomico County Health Department is advising all residents to be aware of their surroundings and avoid contact with all wild or stray animals.
Rabies is a preventable viral disease that exists in the saliva of mammals and is transmitted from animal to animal or from animal to human by biting and/or scratching. The virus can also be spread by licking, when infected saliva makes contact with open cuts or wounds, and with the mouth, eyes, and nose. If left untreated in humans and animals, rabies is fatal.
Please keep the following tips in mind to protect your family and your pets:
- Keep pets confined
- Avoid all contact with wild or stray animals
- Teach children to leave unfamiliar animals alone
- Vaccinate pets - Maryland law requires that all dogs, cats, and ferrets, 4 months of age and older have a current rabies vaccination.
- Avoid feeding or watering pets outside
- Secure outside garbage lids
To report human or animal contact, such as bites or scratches, call the Wicomico County Health Department at (410) 546-4446. For more information on rabies or rabies vaccination clinics, visit our website at www.wicomichealth.org, or follow us on Facebook, Instagram (WicomicoHealth), or Twitter (@WicomicoHealth).

Divorce, Grief Really Can Stress the Heart
For some people, the stress of dealing with a particularly rough patch in life or trauma might also strain the heart, a large new study suggests.
The research, based on over 1.6 million Swedish adults, found those diagnosed with a stress-related disorder faced a higher risk of suffering a heart attack or other cardiovascular trouble over the next year.
The disorders ranged from adjustment disorder – which comes in response to difficult times like a divorce, death of a loved one, or financial troubles – to post-traumatic stress disorder. PTSD is diagnosed when a person has lingering and severe stress reactions after a life-threatening event – such as a serious accident, a natural disaster, or an assault.
The findings do not prove those stress disorders actually triggered heart complications, experts said.

Clinton loyalists exploited Obama's FBI to spread Russia conspiracy stories about Trump
Hillary Clinton loyalists fed the FBI’s upper echelon an assortment of anti-Donald Trump criminal accusations during the 2016 campaign and his presidency, according to a string of interview transcripts released in recent weeks.
James A. Baker, former FBI general counsel who participated on the receiving end, testified that the situation was “horrible” and “highly unusual.”
At least 10 of Mrs. Clinton’s supporters directly or via middlemen told the bureau tales about Russia-Trump conspiracies. It appears to be an unprecedented effort by a presidential campaign and the party in power to count on the FBI to knock out the other party’s candidate and president.
The transcripts create the picture of an FBI not always following expected norms as it activated an unofficial conveyor belt to make sure the allegations reached the counterintelligence division.

Las Cruces, N.M. pleads for help amid migrant dropoffs
Border Patrol agents dropped off asylum-seeking migrants in New Mexico’s second most populous city for the second day in a row Saturday, prompting Las Cruces city officials to appeal for donations of food and personal hygiene items and a state medical program to seek volunteers to provide health assessments of migrants.
The migrants were being temporarily housed at a homeless shelter in Las Cruces, a city recreation center and a campus of social service agencies, city officials said in a statement.
The statement said 83 migrants arrived Saturday, following about 95 who were dropped off by the Border Patrol on Friday at the Gospel Rescue Mission homeless shelter and the Community of Hope campus.
The Las Cruces Sun-News reported Las Cruces churches for months have been providing temporary shelter to migrants released from Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention but that Friday was the first time that the Border Patrol vans dropped off migrants at the homeless shelter.
City spokesman Udell Vigil said Saturday that migrants could be arriving “for the next several days.”
Las Cruces is not a sanctuary city that rebuffs federal officials carrying out deportation orders.

Hemingway: Media Refuses To Admit Trump Campaign Was Spied On Because They Were Complicit In Hoax
Mollie Hemingway of the Federalist has been one of the best journalists covering the Russia conspiracy since the beginning. During an appearance on the Laura Ingraham show this week, Hemingway explained why the media can’t admit that the Trump campaign was spied on.
MOLLIE HEMINGWAY: "It is interesting if you watch Attorney General Barr, he is so calm, so sober, so evenhanded. He is not saying anything extreme, just stating the facts as they are known, and contrary to what we just heard, there is no dispute about whether there was spying or not. That is a common way to describe what happened. They use multiple human informants. There were wiretaps and other electronic surveillance, there were national security letters. If it were about anything other than the Trump campaign, we would all acknowledge that is spying. That is a good word to use to sum up what was going on there.
"The media can’t use that word because they were complicit in this operation in two ways..."

EXCLUSIVE: Citizenship Question Used on Census for 175 Years, GOP Report Shows
A new report from House Republicans shows a citizenship question appeared on the U.S. census in one form or another for nearly 175 years, and argues that its addition to the 2020 census should not be controversial despite Democrats’ objections.
“Every decennial census from 1820 to 1950 inquired about citizenship,” the minority staff report released Thursday by the House Committee on Oversight and Reform says, adding:

From 1970 to 2000, the long-form census—sent to a segment of the population—inquired about citizenship. Since 2005, the Census Bureau has asked 3.5 million Americans about their citizenship every year. Those census appearances cover almost 175 of the 229 years since the first U.S. census in 1790.

Free Americans from Medicare
Through an arbitrary act of executive overreach, the Obama administration limited the freedom of Americans. Three of the top constitutional conservatives in Congress are trying to reverse that.
Sens. Mike Lee of Utah and Ted Cruz of Texas have co-sponsored a bill to let people opt out of Medicare benefits without losing their Social Security earnings. Alabama Republican Rep. Gary Palmer has introduced the same bill in the House. Passing these bills into law would reverse one of Justice Brett Kavanaugh's worst decisions on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals.
Because of the circuit court’s decision in Hall v. Sebelius in 2012, senior citizens are not allowed to save taxpayers money by choosing to renounce their Medicare entitlement in favor of private insurance unless they also forfeit their Social Security benefits. Kavanaugh and Judge Douglas Ginsburg ruled that an informal, intra-agency decision by the Department of Health and Human Services, publicized in Medicare’s operations manual without any formal rule-making process, barred seniors from that option.

Will The Democratic Party Faithful Ever Notice Their Leaders Are Crazy?
After almost two weeks of critical media coverage of Joe Biden’s handsy history, poll after poll indicates most Democrats do not care. The latest Quinnipiac poll—of California, no less—has the yet-to-announce Biden easily leading Bernie Sanders and favorite daughter Kamala Harris. This poll also has Harris performing better among white liberals than nonwhite voters.
These findings are mostly news to the progressive elites at the top of Democratic politics and the establishment media. The data suggesting the Democratic Party is an upstairs/downstairs coalition in which a small faction of disproportionately white progressives dominate a more diverse rank-and-file has been piling up in studies by More in Common, Pew, and Gallup. In recent days, some in the media have finally begun to notice.
At The New York Times, resident propellerheads Nate Cohn and Kevin Quealy find that “[t]oday’s Democratic Party is increasingly perceived as dominated by its ‘woke’ left wing. But the views of Democrats on social media often bear little resemblance to those of the wider Democratic electorate.” They add: “The outspoken group of Democratic-leaning voters on social media is outnumbered, roughly 2 to 1, by the more moderate, more diverse and less educated group of Democrats who typically don’t post political content online.”

Qanta Ahmed: Ilhan Omar is a disgrace to Islam and doesn’t represent my Muslim religion
Rep. Ilhan Omar continues to be an embarrassment and a disgrace for me and other American Muslims with her outrageous, ignorant, anti-Semitic and now anti-American comments.
And while Omar, a Minnesota Democrat, holds herself out as a proud Muslim, she repeatedly projects a distorted and patently Islamist interpretation of Islam – a religion that in reality stands for the values of justice, peace and ethical conduct.
Sadly, Omar gives millions of Americans a false impression of what Islam is and what we Muslims believe and stand for. While she denounces prejudice against Muslims, her aberrant views on Islam fuel prejudice against me and my co-religionists by distorting who we are while defaming and dishonoring the great monotheism of Islam.
Omar’s latest absurd and insulting comment came to light just a few days ago. Describing the horrific Islamist terrorist attacks on America on Sept. 11, 2001 that killed almost 3,000 people and injured more than 6,000 others – including many Muslims – Omar told a Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) fundraiser: “CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something, and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties.”
First, Omar betrayed her ignorance, because CAIR was founded in 1994. Second, the congresswoman displayed an appalling and dismissive insensitivity to the worst foreign attack on America in our history, claiming almost 600 more lives than the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941.
Omar's grotesque trivialization of a national tragedy amounts to an explicit denial of 9/11 – a desecration of all the lives erased that awful day. This denial is inexplicable unless she has strong and covert Islamist sympathies.

Chris Christie: 'Omar off her rocker', comments are a disgrace
Former NJ Republican governor Chris Christie responded to the report about Rep. Ilhan Omar's description of the 9/11 attacks as "someone did something" by claiming Omar is "off her rocker," according to a report by Fox News.
Omar was widely criticized for her casual reference to one of the world's most deadly terror attacks at a speech she delivered to the Council on American-Islamic Relations’ (CAIR) Los Angeles chapter on March 23.
"As somebody who had my wife two blocks away from the World Trade Center that day, my brother on the floor of the New York Stock exchange, and a number of people in our local parish here who passed away, a murder occurred," Christie said on the Brian Kilmeade Show on Fox News Radio.
"Multiple murders occurred, 2,900 murders occurred on that day by radical Islamic terrorists and that’s the way it should always be spoken about to honor those victims and this woman is completely – let’s put aside her religion for the moment - as a public servant, she’s off her rocker to be describing it that way and it’s a disgrace, it’s a disgrace to anyone in her congressional district who voted for her."
Christie also referred to Dem. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who defended Omar by quoting a passage about the Holocaust as a "joke" who will soon be "an asterisk" in history.

CBS TV SHOW ADVOCATES USING POLITICAL VIOLENCE
A promo clip for the CBS legal drama show The Good Fight openly advocates using violence to silence political opinions.
The video features an African-American man walking through the scene of what appears to be a violent demonstration or a riot.
The man says that he previously did not advocate violence, but then saw a video of alt-right leader Richard Spencer being punched in the face and changed his mind.
“Some speech requires a more visceral response,” he states, adding that the Overton Window (the frame of acceptable opinions) is only maintained by “some enforcement”.

Pain at the pump? Thank the ethanol lobby
Iowa’s two senators, Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst, are hosting a field hearing this coming week in western Iowa to discuss the devastating floods that have hit the Midwest. You can see the lesser effects of this flood without traveling to the banks of the Missouri River just by driving down to your nearest gas station, where prices are skyrocketing.
How could flooding in Missouri affect the price of gasoline in Los Angeles, you may wonder? Through the magic of the ethanol mandate, an indefensible corporate welfare boondoggle beloved by Republican and Democratic politicians.
Ethanol is an alcohol made from plants, mostly corn in the U.S. In addition to getting you drunk, it can act as a fuel additive. You’ve probably noticed those signs on gas pumps informing you that your gasoline contains 10% ethanol. That means your gasoline is less efficient and will slowly wreck your motorcycle, boat, and lawnmower.

Pop icon Cher said Sunday that Los Angeles, California, “can’t take care of its own” residents, much less newly arrived illegal and legal immigrants.
Cher said she failed to understand how the city of Los Angeles in the sanctuary state of California could afford to admit and take care of any more immigrants when city officials have failed to care for homeless, veterans, and poverty-stricken Americans.
I Understand Helping struggling Immigrants, but MY CITY (Los Angeles) ISNT TAKING CARE OF ITS OWN.WHAT ABOUT THE 50,000+Citizens WHO LIVE ON THE STREETS.PPL WHO LIVE BELOW POVERTY LINE,& HUNGRY? If My State Can’t Take Care of Its Own(Many Are VETS)How Can it Take Care Of More,” Cher said.
As the city remains crippled by homelessness and skyrocketing housing costs, Los Angeles metro area is also home to the second largest illegal alien population — with nearly a million illegal aliens living in the region, according to Pew Research Center.

Ocasio-Cortez Appears On 'The Price Is Right,' Guesses Everything Is Free
HOLLYWOOD, CA—Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was pumped to attend a taping of The Price Is Right in Hollywood this week. The special guest introduced herself as a U.S. representative and rising star of the Democratic Party. Things got interesting when the game began and every time it was her turn to estimate the price of an item her answer was "free."
Items included a set of Italian leather handbags, an all expenses paid trip to the Bahamas, and a brand new 2019 BMW 330i, at all of which Ocasio-Cortez shouted, "FREE!"
When host Drew Carey asked if Ocasio-Cortez understood the game's rules, she told Carey not to cat-call her and then responded, "Don't hate me cause you ain't me."

NY Post: Rev. Sharpton's Honorary Degree Faces Opposition
New York City's Medgar Evers College proposed resolution to bestow an honorary doctorate degree on Rev. Al Sharpton is facing opposition over the activist's inflaming race tensions in the Crown Heights neighborhood during 1991 riots, according to the N.Y. Post.
"This is not a person you honor," Norman Rosenbaum, the brother of a man who was stabbed to death by an angry mob shouting "Kill the Jew," told the Post. "Within the last 27 years he hasn't changed. The same character is there."
Rev. Sharpton, 64, would be honored as a man of "unwavering commitment to racial, educational and socioeconomic equity" at the June 5 commencement of the taxpayer-funded state college, but there is controversy over his stoking the racial flames over the accidental death of a black, 7-year-old Gavin Cato, according to the report.
"I think he's a fraud and a charlatan whose actions over the years speak for themselves and they're not good actions,” Rosenbaum added to the Post. "He's a man who does not promote peace. He's not told the truth."

Must-see TV: Tucker Carlson’s epic takedown of Dem hypocrisy on sending illegals to sanctuary cities
President Trump has gone all-in on the proposal to send to sanctuary cities the asylum-seekers that under current law must be admitted to the United States while they await adjudication of their claims (90% of which historically are denied).
The best explanation of the hypocrisy of the Democrat sanctuary city advocates that I have seen was offered by Tucker Carlson on his eponymous show Friday. If you ave not seen it, the nine-minute video is well worth your time.

Lindsey Graham to introduce immigration package, toughen asylum standards
Sen. Lindsey Graham said Sunday he will be introducing a proposal to change U.S. asylum laws, saying the only way to stop the crisis at the southern border is to toughen up asylum standards.
The South Carolina Republican said a wall and military personnel at the border helps control the flow of migrants coming from Central American countries, but won’t completely stop the problem.
“We have to change these laws so people stop coming,” Mr. Graham told Fox News during an appearance on “Sunday Morning Futures.”
“Doing what we are doing is not working … the crisis has to come to an end,” he added.
The chairman of the Judiciary Committee said lawmakers will mark up a bill once they return from recess later this month.

Boston Globe writer urges waiters to ‘tamper’ with food of Republicans
A Boston Globe columnist called for waiters to contaminate the food of Trump administration officials.
The column by Luke O'Neil was modified and then taken down by Globe editors. “Keep Kirstjen Nielsen unemployed and eating Grubhub over her kitchen sink,” referring to the recently ousted Department of Homeland Security secretary.
“As for the waiters out there, I’m not saying you should tamper with anyone’s food, as that could get you into trouble,” O’Neil wrote. “You might lose your serving job. But you’d be serving America. And you won’t have any regrets years later.”
He added that “not pissing in Bill Kristol’s salmon" when he was a waiter was one of his eternal regrets. “I was waiting on the disgraced neoconservative pundit and chief Iraq War cheerleader about 10 years ago at a restaurant in Cambridge and to my eternal dismay, some combination of professionalism and pusillanimity prevented me from appropriately seasoning his entree.”

BORDER PATROL UNION PRESIDENT SAYS IT’S ‘ABSOLUTELY LEGAL’ TO DROP ILLEGALS IN SANCTUARY CITIES
National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd claimed Sunday that it is “absolutely legal” for the federal government to transport illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities.
Judd argued during a “Fox & Friends” segment that President Donald Trump’s proposed plan to do just that was “brilliant” and should have been cheered by people on both sides.
“It’s absolutely legal,” Judd explained. “But I’m going to get beaten up by the hard left for this comment. But this is actually a brilliant move on the president’s part.”
Judd went on to detail the “two layers” he saw at work in the proposed plan.

Calls for Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh’s resignation grow louder amid book controversy
Pressure is mounting against embattled Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh, as a second major group in the city on Friday called for her immediate resignation.
The Greater Baltimore Committee’s board of directors wrote Pugh “no longer possesses the public trust or moral authority” to lead the Maryland city.
“This was a difficult decision requiring a great deal of thought, but the GBC believes the Mayor can no longer provide the leadership and effective government that Baltimore needs and deserves at this time,” the committee’s president and CEO, Donald C. Fry said in the Friday statement. “The GBC Board determined that it is necessary for Mayor Pugh to resign so the city can move on, heal and leverage the many positive assets it has going for it.”

Cory Booker Admits Releasing Migrants In Sanctuary Cities Would "Make Us Less Safe"
Democratic presidential candidate Cory Booker says that Americans would be "less safe" if illegal immigrants were released from locked detention centers into migrant-friendly American cities - a plan which President Trump has threatened to explore.
When asked by Face the Nation's Margaret Brennan whether Trump's threat was an empty one, or if he was simply trying to create friction, Booker replied: "You say 'friction' -- I say he's trying to pit Americans against each other and make us less safe."
Following reports that the White House had discussed releasing a flood if migrants into Democratic-controlled, undocumented-friendly sanctuary cities, President Trump on Friday said that he was "giving strong considerations" to the idea.

Redacted Mueller report to be released on Thursday
Attorney General William Barr will deliver a redacted version of special counsel Robert Mueller’s nearly 400-page report on Russian election meddling to Congress on Thursday.
The Justice Department made the announcement Monday morning, ending widespread speculation on when Americans could learn at least some of what the nearly two-year probe discovered.
Justice spokeswoman Kerri Kupec did not provide a precise time, but said it will be released both to Congress and the public.
Democrats have demanded the release of the full document, but Barr has refused, issuing only a 4-page summary to date.

Pelosi moves to ensure Ilhan Omar's safety, calls for Trump to take down video
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced Sunday that she's taken steps to ensure the safety of Rep. Ilhan Omar following President Trump’s tweet of a video that, according to critics, showed the Minnesota Democrat being dismissive of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
The California Democrat also called on Trump to take down the video. That same day, the video was no longer pinned to the top of Trump’s Twitter feed, although it was not clear whether it was because of Pelosi's request.
Pelosi was among numerous Democrats who had criticized Trump over the tweet, with some accusing him of trying to incite violence against the Muslim lawmaker.

Small Business Owners Push Back Against Mis-characterization of Trump’s Tax Cuts
Small business owners are pushing back against Democratic mis-characterizations of President Donald Trump's signature Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.
More than a year after the legislation went into effect—slashing personal and corporate tax rates across the board—the focus has shifted from worker bonuses and wage increases to shrinking tax refunds. The latter, resulting from a decrease in the level of taxes paid throughout the year and changes to the Internal Revenue Service's withholding formula, has increasingly become fodder for Democrats eager to portray the cuts as a "scam" to benefit the wealthy.
In reality, the issue is more complicated, as Alfredo Ortiz, the president of the Jobs Creator Network (JCN), told the Washington Free Beacon. Ortiz's group, which represents a diverse coalition of small businesses and bills itself "as the voice of Main Street," has been working to educate voters on the benefits of the tax cuts ahead of the April 15 IRS filing deadline. JCN believes that if Democrats are allowed to win the debate over tax refunds, it will make it easier for the party to eventually push for a full repeal of the Trump tax cuts at a later date.
"There's a lot of attention on the size of the tax refund," Ortiz said during an exclusive interview. "Folks need to understand that you're going to be paying less money to the government because of the tax cuts, so you'll be getting less money [back] when it's time to file."

Born between 1957-1989? You may not be protected from measles outbreak
Check yourself, public health officials say, as the number of cases in a Michigan measles outbreak climbed Friday by five more people to 39 cases — the largest statewide outbreak since 1991.
Even if you think you've been vaccinated for the measles, ask your doctor to check your immunization record to be sure.
If you have proof you received two doses of the measles, mumps, rubella vaccine (MMR), you should still ask to have the antibodies in your blood checked, especially if you've been to one of the growing number of exposure sites in Michigan.
