Ruth Bader Ginsburg returns home after hospitalization for chills and fever

Ruth Bader Ginsburg was released from the hospital and is said to be doing well after suffering chills and a fever.

A representative for the Supreme Court justice announced on Sunday morning that Ginsburg had returned home from the hospital and was “doing well.”

Ginsburg, 86, was hospitalized Friday night after becoming ill earlier in the day. She received treatment at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she was given “intravenous antibiotics and fluids,” which helped her symptoms subside. Doctors were confident that she would be released as early as Sunday morning.

  3. She should retire so she can concentrate on her health - then she can repent without further worrying that she'll burn in hell for her ways!

  4. Northwest Woodsman: Her absence would not interfere with any SUpreme Court activity as I am certain her law clerks are making all of her decisions and writing her opinions.

I guess you were a big Obama supporter that said he couldn't be criticized about ANYTHING because it was racist. Disagree with a democrat over political positions, and it's "racist" or "hateful", or bigoted. That what you say when you have no defense for your political positions. Ginsburg, in no way has distinguished herself as a "wonderful" woman, or a non-political jurist. She is a political hack that doesn't deserve to be on the bench. She has no regard for the constitution, or what is stands for. You are no "judge" of jurisprudence, and are not remotely qualified to determine what the "best justice" is, especially given all the other sitting members on the court. Calling people names does not change the fact that she isn't close to being the best justice, and I would propose she is the worst one that is the bench at this time in history. If she doesn't do the right thing and retire, in light of her health and diminishing capabilities, then many Americans are eager for nature to take its course.

  10. Decorum, please. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. Justice Ginsburg has had a distinguished career and frankly anyone tackling that responsibility deserves kudos. Conscience and jurisprudence should be the guide, not political leaning. That having been noted, I think she is ill and ailing and should enjoy the rest of her life comfortably. I am sure she is under extreme pressure but perhaps thinking too much about what is sure to be a conservative replacement.
