California city wants to BAN feeding homeless people in public spaces

A city in California may place a ban on feeding the homeless in public places as homelessness continues to surge in the Golden State.

The controversial measure was proposed during a city council meeting on Tuesday night as Lancaster Mayor Rex Parris defended the proposed legislation.

'A lot of people would come to eat, the people feeding them would leave and the mess would be left behind,' Parris said during the meeting, according to Fox News.

'We're talking about people defecating in the entryways of the business. It became a public health problem,' the mayor added.

  2. How about giving them some HELP instead? Find solutions, not punishments. This country is losing its' heart. They say the U.S.A. is the most generous country in the world. I don't necessarily disagree with that but that stat must be based on helping other countries and not its' own citizens, in their own country, who need it the most.

Now some of you may say "scammers". While that's probably true in some cases, not all of them are corrupt and regardless of any scammers, the others still need help.

Carry their proposal to the extreme end, it would amount to letting people starve to death rather than give them a peanut butter sandwich. (And no, I don't believe that would happen in THIS country).

We can send people into space, so I think we can solve this problem too.

  6. I just got back from vacation their. It was awesome. I didn’t have to pay for hotel and never worried about bathroom. People feed me and handed me cash just for crapping on the side walk. I cleared about 400 after plane ticket. FYI wear steel toe boots for the needles. I’ll be back in the spring.

  7. Whatever happened to arresting and jailing Vagrants, Hobo's, Bums and Gipsies?
The same laws should apply to these POS.
They are a public nuscence and a public health hazard. Lock them up in mental hospitals or Prisons.

wow. They have closed most mental health institutions, starting in the 1970s. Prisons already have mentally ill people within their walls. Besides your atrocious spelling, you are not very knowledgable on the things you comment on.
