Saturday, November 30, 2019, Trooper Brader and Trooper Kreiling, assisted by NRP and Worcester County Sherriff’s Office units, responded to Woodside Ln and US 113, Snow Hill, for a report of a dispute involving a firearm.
While hunting, the victim was exiting the field when suspect, Wingate Dennis Streett, of Wilmington, DE, became infuriated with the victim. Streett began yelling at him as he exited his tree stand and walked in the victim’s direction. Continuing to yell towards the victim, Streett discharged one round out of his hunting rifle. The victim observed and heard the round ricochet off of the ground.
Streett remained in the woods upon law enforcement’s arrival. After multiple attempts of contact, he eventually exited the field with no rifle in possession. During questioning, Streett admitted to becoming angered and yelling at the victim. The rifle was located approximately 25 yards from Streett’s tree stand in the woods.
Streett was placed under arrest and charged with 1st Degree Assault, 2nd Degree Assault, and Reckless Endangerment. He is being held without bond at the Worcester County Detention Center. The rifle and ammo were seized. Streett was also cited by NRP for Negligent Hunting
Dude has a town for a first name, a first name for a middle name, and a street for a last name.
ReplyDeleteHey, that's my tree stand Biatch
ReplyDeleteTree stand dispute, and the other dude who called Po Po was wrong
ReplyDeletemusta been one of those progressives hunting on someone else land
You read it wrong. The suspect was exiting the tree stand, not the victim.
DeleteNo, dude that called Po Po was hunting legally with permission
DeleteThat's usually how it works. The one in the wrong was running his mouth as well. Egging street on. Then he calls the cops. Punk.
DeleteWarning shot YAWN
ReplyDeleteVictim leaving woods probably flushed deer that weren’t there for the out of state hunter. He was ticked the guy messed up his hunt or so he thought...
ReplyDeletewe used to call them city hunters! no clue!
ReplyDeleteWilmington man in the woods in snow hill. Thats all you need to know.
ReplyDeleteAs a former hunter this is partly why I quit. Too many ignorants with live ammunition and a weapon; shooting at someone because they messed up your hunt? REALLY!

its soooooooo scary
I would have camouflaged myself with natural environment and waited. Then pounced on him easily KNOCKING him out with a left hook.
ReplyDeleteWhy isn't the Natural Resources Police handling this crime committed in the woods during a hunting incident? Maryland is one Fkd up state to have road troopers handling a crime where clearly the Natural Resources Police should be investigating it. RINO Hogan we hired you to clean this stupidity up.
ReplyDelete854 great comment and good thinking

I was there, WTH were you???
From the looks of the out-of-state perp hunter, I think alcohol might have been involved. What he did was a good way to get HIMSELF shot. He fired first. It would have been clearly self defense. Shoot in my direction, and he would have found out how good my aim is.
ReplyDeleteThere's deer in Delaware. The perp needs to stay in his state and hunt. We don't need his kind here on the Eastern shore. He's getting some jail time in Worcester County right now, and has a good chance of getting some prison time for what he is charged with. DNR might take more than his gun and ammo from him. He probably won't be allowed to legally hunt in MD anymore. Good chance he wasn't hunting legally to start with.
Delaware is the Eastern Shore. Go back to 8th grade take a geography lesson :-)

ReplyDelete"Shorty"!!! Never met a man named Shorty that was a tough guy. All mouth, when they're nick-named Shorty. And they have nothing to back that mouth up with. That's why he didn't show up. Maybe he's called Shorty because he hasn't grown up yet. Or he was the runt of the litter. LOL.
Dat because you never been locked up

ReplyDeleteI hate to bust your sanctimonious bubble, but Delaware is NOT the eastern shore of anything. There's the Eastern shore of Maryland, and and Eastern shore of Virginia, because there are Western shores of both states. Now, just because you don't know how to read a map, there is no Western shore of Delaware. There's no shore west of Delaware. That would be the State of Maryland, and not the Chesapeake Bay. Delaware is a part of the DelMarVa Peninsula, but is not the Eastern shore of anything. And no, I didn't mean Wilmington. All of Delaware is NOT a part of the Eastern shore. Just Maryland and Virginia have an Eastern Shore, along with Western Shores. It's how we distinguish one side of our states from the other. Delaware can make no claim of an Eastern Shore. Delaware only has one shore! And it's not either one of Virginia's or Maryland's. There's your geography lesson for ya!
