A massive “chain reaction” pileup on an interstate in Virginia early Sunday left multiple people with injuries ranging from minor to life-threatening, authorities said.
At least 63 vehicles crashed in the westbound lanes of I-64 near Williamsburg at 7:51 a.m., Virginia State Police wrote on Twitter after earlier saying 35 cars were involved in the wreck. At the time of the crash, police said ice was present on the Queens Creek Bridge and heavy fog covered the area.
In addition to closing all westbound lanes, officials said eastbound lanes were shut down due to rubber-necking at the crashes.

What about the measle outbreak courtesy of the nasty Hispanics illegal criminals in Virginia ?
ReplyDeleteGet out of the passing lane if you're not passing!
ReplyDeleteIce can now form at temperatures well above 32 degrees. Many of us who are older don’t believe it is true because we learned basic physics. The physical world and it’s laws have been suspended in recent decades by new technologies which allow for ice nucleation processes to form ice even in the 50 degree range.
ReplyDeleteUmmmm..... maybe in controlled circumstances, but unlikely here.... fog and slick roadway surfaces combined with motorists who follow way too close and in a hurry
Delete10:55 Basic physics has been changed by under educated keyboard warriors that think if they read it or type it to the world wide web it must be true. However black ice will not form on a roadway that is above 32°, and the ground must be freezing or colder and blocked from sunshine for roadways to freeze, plus there is fiction from tire traffic slightly warming the roads. You must be one of paranoid few that worry about contrails and the military controlling the weather.
DeleteHahaha. It's right through John Jackass Jacobs work site. This guy is going to get someone killed before this IDIOT is done. VIRGINIA IS FOR IDIOTS.
ReplyDeleteAnybody with Jackass for a middle name should never be hired by VDOT or any other DOT
