Incident: Possession with intent to distribute narcotics

Date of Incident: November 7, 2019


Location: 400 Block of South Blvd Salisbury, MD
 

Suspect: Eugene Demonta Bowen, 35 years of age
 

Narrative: Members of the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office Community Action Team (CAT) conducted a drug investigation into Eugene Bowen selling cocaine from a residence in the 400 Block of South Blvd Salisbury, Wicomico County, MD. Through the investigation CAT was able to obtain an arrest warrant for Bowen for distribution of crack cocaine. Bowen distributed crack cocaine to an individual on 10/25/2019.
On 11/07/2019 Bowen was observed leaving the residence and was placed under arrest for the arrest warrant. A search and seizure warrant was then executed at his residence located in the 400 block of South Blvd. Deputies located an amount of crack cocaine that is indicative of the intent to distribute. The crack cocaine was packaged in individual baggies in preparation for sales. A digital scale, an amount of US currency, and packaging material was also recovered. Items indicative of crack cocaine manufacturing were located inside the residence as well. CAT arrested Bowen and charged him accordingly with possession with the intent to distribute crack cocaine, manufacturing crack cocaine, and possession of cocaine. Bowen was also served the arrest warrant for distribution of crack cocaine form an earlier incident. Bowen is being held without bond at the Wicomico County Detention Center.

  • 10/25/2019: Distribution of crack cocaine, Possession with intent to distribute narcotics (crack cocaine), and possession of crack cocaine

  4. Eugene was a welfare baby.His mom made a career out of having babies for the sole purpose of increasing her income.This is the end result.I think Eugene was #5 or 6.

  6. Does SPD still exist? Why don’t they have any proactive street crime units anymore? Wish admin (city and SPD) would let their cops do real police work instead of discouraging it. Good job WCSO.
