“President Miller Has Been a Strong, Unifying Leader For The Legislature and The State.”
ANNAPOLIS, MD—Governor Larry Hogan today issued the following statement on Senate President Thomas V. “Mike” Miller Jr.’s announcement that he is stepping down as Senate President:
“On behalf of a grateful state, I want to sincerely thank Senate President Mike Miller for his 33 years of dedicated service as president of the Maryland Senate.
"As the longest continuously serving presiding officer in the nation, President Miller has been a strong, unifying leader for the legislature and the state. His steady presence and trademark humor will be deeply missed as President, but we are pleased to know that Mike will continue to represent the people of District 27 in the Senate.
“I have immense respect for Mike Miller. For the past year, he has shown all of us what courage and determination look like as he faces a very tough personal battle. As we celebrate his historic tenure as president of the Senate, Maryland’s First Lady and I ask all Marylanders to join us in praying for him and his family.”
Let the fighting begin....

ReplyDeleteThe bad news...the Replacement is a 2019 Leftist Liberal.
ReplyDeleteFantastic news> One died and the other just left. They both allowed Maryland to be the worst State to retire in. They both allowed Maryland to be a sanctuary State. They both allowed Maryland schools to deteriate to third world schools. Guess now Miller will retire to his Florida home, which has always been his germinate home not his MD address, that he has stayed in when the Maryland Legislature was not in session.
ReplyDeleteDon’t let the door hit you in the A—
ReplyDeleteHope now My taxes will be lowered and the Legislature will quit raiding my pension fund, "STATE OF MARYLAND PENSION FUND". But I should not wish for a miracle since the Unions will still allow it and liberal Democrats will be put in their place, since Maryland is a Democrat State of spend spend spend and ignore Maryland "BALANCED BUDGET" requirements. People should know this.
