BALTIMORE, Md. (WBFF) — The fall cleanup is right around the corner and this year Mayor Jack Young is turning it into a competition.
“The idea is simple, compete against your neighbors and other communities to see who can collect the most trash,” he said.
To sign up for the Cleanup Cup you have to create a team and call 3-1-1.
From there you can use your service request number to register online.
Then on cleanup day all you have to do is record the number of bags of trash or bulk items your team collects, record them on your tally form and snap a picture.

Yeah... That'll work.
ReplyDeleteHow about: “The idea is simple, compete against your neighbors and other communities to see who can sell the most heroin and crack”?
OR:
“The idea is simple, compete against your neighbors and other communities to see who can collect the least murder victims.”?
I have a competition for the eastern shore, see if you can collectively account for 1 full set of teeth!
ReplyDeleteSure! We’ll bust out what few you have left!
Delete11:52 talks like someone with a paper ass
DeleteWhy don't you just do it, why do you need a government competition

ReplyDeleteWhy doesn't Baltimore government "just do it", or are they sneakily admitting that they "can't do it"?
because it isn't just the goverment. I lived in Baltimore City. People throw trash everywhere, contracters dump in alleys, the garbage men miss the truck and leave garbage. People driving through throw trash out the windows Baltimore's trash is damn near everybody who is there problem.
DeleteThey need to clean up their so called leaders in Baltimore. What is the latest on former Mayor Pugh and her Healthy Holly book scam where she pocketed over $800,000.00?
ReplyDeleteLet's get the citizens to do it. Then we can pocket more money from the sanitation budget. That's how city government works!
ReplyDeleteThe citizens made that mess, they should clean it up
DeleteWho will be removing these heaps / piles of trash that possibly will be picked up?
