Texas shooter failed a background test to buy a gun and shouldn't have had one in the first place. Another example of how stricter laws would have saved lives.
ReplyDeleteHe failed background check and was denied the purchase. Are you sure he obtained legally? All I heard/ read was he did not have a background for the gun he used. No mention of legal purchase which certainly allows for speculation it was not a legit store bought gun.
Delete1:13 If you FAIL a background check, the gun dealer doesn't give you a gun anyway...he could have purchased one previously, bought one illegally off the street, or maybe a straw purchase was involved.
Deletegood point 113, may not have prevented him from doing SOMETHING but it may have kept him from easily getting a weapon like a gun. it is sad we have grown to accept mass shootings as a part of life in this country
ReplyDelete1:13 What type of stricter laws would have prevented this without violating my rights? You are another liberal nut case that does not want them incarcerated or even the death penalty. Where are you on the prosecution of these that possess illegal weapons? I don't here you stating there should be stricter prosecution on these criminals? Where are you on the mental health issue because they have a mental issue? Where are you on these extreme violent video games which promotes violence? Where are you on these violent movies put out by those liberals that want to take away my rights?
ReplyDeleteSpot on! News flash “liberals”. Criminals don’t follow laws.
DeleteI guess NONE of you heard of inheriting?? I have several from my Father.
ReplyDeleteChicago is the perfect example of how background checks don't work. In fact no gun laws work when the lawless get guns and use them illegally.
ReplyDeleteDo you really think more restrictive gun laws are going to stop criminals from getting guns?
Criminals NEVER follow laws. If you think otherwise, we pray for you.
ReplyDeleteNorthwest Woodsman: All of these mass shootings were perpetrated by individuals who demonstrated significant behavioral issues well prior to the event. Apparently no one had the guts to stand up and force the authorities to actually act on it. That is why you are nuts if you depend on government authorities to come to your aid and save you from violence. They primarily become involved in the investigative phase after the crime has been committed. Those of you who believe the logos on police units that say “To Protect and Serve” are severely misguided.
ReplyDeleteThe media does not report on these mass shootings, why not? And thye happen every single day. Looks like the gun laws are NOT working.
