Barstool Sports founder and chief content officer Dave Portnoy responded to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez amid their feud over his tweet saying that he would fire any employees attempting to form a union.
Portnoy, also known as El Pres, sent the tweet Tuesday after a writer said anyone who wants to form a union at the sports blog company should contact him.
In addition to drawing the attention of labor unions, Portnoy's tweet also garnered attention from the New York Democrat, who tweeted, "If you’re a boss tweeting firing threats to employees trying to unionize, you are likely breaking the law &can be sued,in your words, 'on the spot.'"
