Revealed: Name of Top FBI Official Who Leaked to Media – But DOJ Declined Prosecution

Inspector General Michael Horowitz released a report in May revealing that an FBI Deputy Assistant Director had taken gifts from journalists, had numerous unauthorized contacts with the media and even disclosed the existence of classified information under seal to the media.

Horowitz did not name the senior FBI official in his report, however he did state that the DOJ declined prosecution.

According to investigative reporter Sara Carter, this top FBI official is Bryan Paarmann.

Sara Carter reported:
Several officials confirmed to SaraACarter.com this week that the unknown senior FBI official is Bryan Paarmann. Paarmann, who began his career with the bureau in 1996, was shuffled by FBI Director Christopher Wray in August, 2017 from his position as FBI Deputy Assistant Director of the International Operations Division to special agent in charge of the Counterterrorism Division for the New York field office. He is currently on leave and his security clearance has been suspended, sources stated.

  2. Means all Republicans prosecuted has to be exonerated with no record of convictions and made whole monetarily. Then they should sue the ones responsible for false prosecution and their legal fees paid by the FBI and other Agencies involved.

  3. Think it's worth noting that just because they didn't charge him, or others similarly situated, last week doesn't mean they can't be charged next week. Or down the road.

Popcorn futures continue to be bullish.
