STOP LEAVING YOUR DOGS IN THE CAR

This idiot thought it would be ok to leave his senior dog in the car while he was getting a hair cut. He seemed more offended when someone tried to give the dog water since it was panting so hard. SPD was called and they said they would send someone out if an officer became available. Waited 15 and they never showed and the guy left after getting his hair cut.

If the temperature outside is 80 degrees. The temperature inside a vehicle will be 99 degrees in 10 minutes, 109 degrees in 20 minutes and 114 in 30 minutes.

  1. While we never leave our dogs in the car if this happened today the story is being overblown. It was in the 60s this morning, a high of 80 or so and the windows are fairly wide open.
Those temps and times are with closed windows. You can tell by the shadows it was fairly early, maybe 10AM.
And you're wasting your time calling the SPD. It was free donut day at WaWa.

    1. Just so you know, I will gladly get arrested breaking a window to get to an animal in a hot car, regardless of my political affiliation and you can call me all the nasty names you want.

  7. You mean STOP putting your dog in the car in the first place. Dogs belong at home. They get motion sick and don't enjoy the ride like you think they do. And you can't properly restrain them in the car and they're going to go flying in the even of an accident.

A car ride is not a substitute for a walk!

    1. My dogs love going for a ride out. No motion sickness whatsoever. They just love feeling the wind, and I am a dog lover, also not a democrat.

    2. My dog live riding too. And doesn't get sick. But he also loves chasing his Frisbee.
We leave the dog home when one of us can't stay in the car with him.

  9. There was another shooting in Jake Day's Sh!thole again last night off of Church Street while you were sleeping. It must have been serious because two hours later they alerted Station 2 to go out there and help find evidence. Not sure what kind of training firemen get in evidence recovery, but they were alerted.

  10. 7:42 I Totally agree with you. I would risk the chance of going
to jail to free an animal from that horrible death. And SPD
    Shame on you !!!!
Blessings to the person who got this pic and gave the dog
    water!!!!
    It only takes minutes for
and animals organs to start shutting down in a hot car.
What in God's name is wrong with a person who would leave
a dog, much less an older dog , in a car when temps are
over 70 degrees? Read the statistics on how hot a car gets
even if it's cool outside !!!

That's correct, it happened in the area of Church Street and Davis Street. It's a fact Joe, I'm in the fire department and I was listening to it on my radio. So glad I don't live in the City of Salisbury.
