Quick test- ask someone where rights come from- if they say, "our rights come from the constitution" you know you're dealing with an idiot, or a Democrat- but I repeat myself.
The Bill of Rights is there to express rights that you already have naturally, as a being created by God. And even if you don't believe in God, they make a fine set of ground rules for everybody to play fair by.
If only our courts and law makers understood plain English, " shall not be infringed upon", they would realize that all gun laws are unconstitutional! To have to register, get a permit or restrict the style of gun you may own are all an "infringement" upon are constitutional right to bear arms!
Madison originally didnt want the bill of rights in there- because he naively thought they were so bloody obvious to anyone with half a brain. I hate it when Dem use language like the (fill in the blank" bill of rights- "the taxpayers bill of rights", the "patient bill of rights", because it just reinforces to stupid people the idea that those rights are bestowed by the benevolent government. If the government gives them, they can take them away.
A very good point. The CDC being forbidden from conducting gun death research is still ridiculous. When loads of people were dying from car related incidents they didn't ban the car, they instituted safety measures after research.
Northwest Woodsman: There is an easily identified group that is responsible for 85 to 90% of the gun related violence in this country. Law enforcement statistics compiled by the FBI consistently near that out. Control that group and you will control gun related crimes. I just left the CBS news website for Baltimore and was appalled at the number of murders and shootings that occurred just over the weekend. You, as law abiding citizens of the state should demand a wall to contain the residents of that city to protect yourselves.
Damned if Pelosi and all Democrats in Congress need to read and understand this!
