Found Beagle

This little guy was found on Mt. Hermon Road near the overpass.  The person that found him looked for the owner before having to leave for work.  The dog is now at the Humane Society.

    Thank God you found him and took him to safety. Hope he gets home soon.

    Beagles find their way back home on their own by following their own scent trail back. They are like bloodhounds. It's how they chase and find the rabbits. Taking it to the pound has not done the owner (or the dog) any favors.

    Maybe the owner should be a bit more responsible. The dog was heading for the bypass. It could have gotten it or caused a really bad accident.
