Attorney General Frosh’s Statement on Supreme Court Decision on Redistricting
BALTIMORE, MD (June 27, 2019) – Maryland Attorney General Brian E. Frosh’s statement following the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling on redistricting:
“This is a sad day for our democracy. We urged the Supreme Court to adopt a nationwide standard that would prevent extreme partisan gerrymandering. The decision today instead prevents voters everywhere from challenging in federal court any redistricting map as excessively partisan.
“The attention now turns to Congress, which has the power to outlaw partisan gerrymandering of Congressional districts.”

ReplyDeleteProof Frosh is an idiot. In MD it was his Democrat Party who screwed up MD's districts by partisan gerrymandering under O'Malley which favored Democrats. How did he ever get a degree in anything considering his stupidity.
ReplyDeleteNot sure of the details of this decision. But i'm pretty sure that if Frosh is against it, i am for it.
ReplyDeleteAnd what does congress do now? Nothing!
ReplyDelete8:47--perfect --this is the pot calling the kettle black. Its ok for them to do it but not for Republicans

SCOTUS plainly said that states have both the power and responsibility to set their electoral districts. Not the Feds.
Gerrymandering is wrong, wrong, wrong but local voters need to elect honest legislators to their statehouses.
