More Than 100 Weapons, 35,000 Rounds Of Ammunition Confiscated Under Maryland’s Red Flag Law In PG County In Last Year

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — More than 100 weapons and thousands of rounds of ammunition have been recovered in Prince George’s County under Maryland’s new red flag law- which temporarily bans people who are dangerous from having guns.

The law allows only immediate family members or law enforcement to actually petition the court to take those weapons away from people who are either a threat to themselves or to others.

It’s been less than a year since the new red flag law took effect but Dawn Stoltzfus with Moms Demand Action said it’s already proving to save lives.

“It gives them that time to take them out of that moment when that gun might be in front of them,” Stoltzfus said.

  2. Lying leftist. She has no proof that confiscating those firearms and ammunition saved any lives. She cannot prove that any lives would have been lost.
Since lefties donate money to anti-american causes, then it is time to confiscate their money to protect the community.

  3. Baltimore county and P.G. county residents should be banned having guns , red flag the whole damn county , both of them. Send them all to California or better yet to Africa.

  4. This is the same county that denied an ICE hold. Release the men and they killed a women and then denied another ICE hold on the same men and released them again!

  6. I'm as die hard second amendment as they come but if your own family says you need a psych eval I think temporary confiscation is fine.

  10. @10:29 Sure I am, I just have an intellect higher than a rock. If your own family has went before a judge and told them you are a nut job off his meds and need to be evaluated then for the safety of everyone else's children you should have your guns placed in temporary custody while you are evaluated.

If you can not see the wisdom in that then you probably shouldn't have guns. It's simple really. Don't make your loved ones question whether you are the next mass murderer.
