ANNAPOLIS, MD — Governor Larry Hogan today congratulated Delegate Adrienne Jones on her election as the next Speaker of the Maryland House of Delegates:

New Speaker happens to be a woman (a first), black (a first) and Democrat (ugh).
It would have been bad manners for Governor not to have congratulated the winner, and shortsighted to boot.
