This seems to be a sting focused on stores not bars. Except for Brew River and that is probably because they failed last time so they will have more frequent checks. Last month the downtown bars were spot checked
Are there any known instances of young persons purchasing alcohol from any of these establishments? If not, then why were they targeted for entrapment by the police?
To be clear: The police violated the law a few moments before the cashier violated the law.
Furthermore: There is no evidence that any of those clerks would have violated the law that day were it not for the illegal actions of the police.
To answer why the downtown bars don’t get checked; well could it be because they are owned by the Gillis/Gilkerson boys and their friend Jeremy? And guess who is friends with them, you got it Chris Eccelston, who just happens to be on the liquor board. Enough said?
