BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Judges have denied a request from Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby to dismiss convictions in nearly 5,000 cases of marijuana possession.
Mosby announced in January that she would cease prosecuting cases of marijuana possession as well as ask the courts to throw out thousands of old convictions.
She said those cases clog the system.
The State’s Attorney’s Office said it is considering its options following the judge’s ruling.

ReplyDelete9:29 Do you read the crime info just on this blog? Those busted invariably seem to be dealing or carrying weapons that they are prohibited from having. Why would you want to leave them on the street? Or to be driving the same roads as you and your family while under the influence of this, and that and that?
Alternatively, we could just have the laws in question revoked by local, state and federal legislatures and the return to the Wild West.
They were arrested for good reasons. Who needs a SA if there are no cases being prosecuted?
