Road in the City Park approaching bridge cut through
JOE
- The new road and with planters approaching the Little Bridge is not accessible for vehicles. There are going to be accidents the road with the planter areas in the middle approaching the bridge are too narrow. Any vehicle larger than a compact car is going to have trouble especially any kind of larger trucks like delivery trucks, fire trucks, ambulances will have trouble and it will be even worse with icy roads or water run off like we have often from storms. Who ever is responsible needs to review this be it the Mayor, City Council, Road Dept or whom ever. The planters are not necessary safety should be the concern, is this just another stupid thing we are doing just for looks and wasting $ where it is not necessary, and it really was not thought through by those responsible.
I just drove through there 2 days ago in a large SUV. What has changed since then?
ReplyDeleteI just went through there this AM ...it was like a crazy maze...why do they need round-abouts in the park..total mismanagement of money
ReplyDeleteI drive through there all the time in a full size SUV, don't touch a thing! Learn to drive, and stop exaggerating!
ReplyDeletedaughter went through these yesterday and said it was really bad.
ReplyDeleteCorner of Snow Hill Road and S. Park is an accident waiting to happen, watch and see. Should have left it alone. If it works, change it - that is Salisbury's motto!
ReplyDeleteThe whole city park redo is a fiasco! Blowing money for nothing when they should have just plain paved the streets of Salisbury that are in such desperate need! They eliminated 10 or more parking spaces at the bandstand where parking was already a problem. Who is making these bad decisions? Why are they getting away with this waste?? Fools. Where’s Jake?
ReplyDeleteI though Fake Jake had a masters in urban planning? And don't even get me started on those rusted plates of steel around the new amphitheater. Who ever thought rusted steel was going to be pleasant to look at is probably the same person who switched the city flag to a beach towel.

ReplyDeleteMore bike lanes, please. Each round about should have 2 or 3 bike lanes to handle the bike traffic descending on us for the Folked Fest. /sarc
Who is the director of public works?? When are they going to realize you can't hide the incompetence that IS Salisbury city government!!
ReplyDeleteJake day is spending millions on redoing downtown Salisbury like it's going to be a tourist destination. After his obligation to host the national F** festival then what?? Get ready for your annual gay and transgender festival Salisbury it's a coming soon!! You'll have a weekend of drag queens parading around downtown drunk in their cartoon character costumes
ReplyDeleteWhat say you about the turn from Beaglin southbound into Hannibal?
ReplyDeleteI thought it was quite narrow. Maybe to slow down traffic near zoo and park ?
ReplyDeleteMoney spent to clean up the river, park and zoo would have been nice. We used to be able to swim at the park.
ReplyDeleteI lost a hub cap driving thru there
ReplyDeletethe BUMP in road made me hit my head on the cars ceiling
