Police: Late for work, suspect doesn't stop in high speed-chase

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - It started with an Ohio trooper attempting to pull over a vehicle on I-77 northbound, and ended with multiple police cars smashed and a dramatic arrest.

The reason for the death-defying chase? The suspect said she had to make it to work, according to police.

Imani Edwards is charged with felonious assault and failure to comply after she was finally stopped on East 105th Street in Cleveland, just north of St Clair Avenue.

Police had Edwards boxed in on I-77, and were out of their cruisers with guns drawn when she decided to run again.

  1. What no blanket resisting arrest, have cops finally figured out the courts won't uphold that crap anymore????

And can someone explain to me what felonious assault is, when it is the cops who are assaulting you, to get you to stop a car???? Is that like terroristic threatening even though, the definitions of terroristic threatening has to deal with a political agenda, but when cops apply it is never the true definition of what it is??? You mean like that???

  4. Man, her car couldn't be more totaled than that! I wonder if her insurance is going to pay for that? With all the fundamental change of America shoved down America's throat by the Obama administration, she probably thought the police couldn't FORCE her to stop. Well, she was wrong. They should have at least tased her. THAT would have made watching the video more satisfying.

You can't just ignore a cop in a marked car with the lights and siren activated. Who do you think you are? She was boxed in by 3 police cruisers and tried to run over the cop on the street, and rammed all 3 cop cars. And you think she is innocent and a victim, and the cops are at fault for stopping her. She was willing to kill a cop and any other innocent traveler in her efforts to avoid a ticket. You are delusional if you think the cops we wrong to stop her. She, by her actions, was a danger to herself, other people on the highway, and to the cops. They were doing their duty to protect the public, at extreme risk to their own lives, by stopping that lunatic. You try running from the cops when they stop you for speeding. You'll get what YOU deserve. I'm guessing you are male, so they will tase you. That, I would pay to watch! Your comment is the most immature one I have seen today. Go ahead, keep thinking that cops can't pull you over.
