Maryland State Police Berlin Barrack
Over the next several weeks Delmarva Power will be conducting aerial transmission line inspections throughout the Eastern Shore and into Delaware. Haverfield Aviation will be utilizing a black hughes MD500 with tail number N371EE to do the inspections. They often fly low for extended periods. If you happen to see them do not be concerned and wave hello.
Put on your tin hats haha! The local police agencies will get hundreds of calls, too funny.
ReplyDeleteWould there have been a cheaper way to have done this like DPL viewing things from their vehicles, and wouldn't computers tell them about the accuracy and problems with their equipment? Just saying.
ReplyDelete"Aerial transmission line inspection" right
DeleteWhy don't they do it from the ground, using one or more drones with cameras?
ReplyDeleteThose can actually get closer to and with more latitude than a manned vehicle, with more flexibility (above and below transmission lines), zero human risk and fewer complaints from locals. The trade-off, of course, is fewer flight hours per session if using just one drone, but even then, a guy in a pickup truck with several could do the job for a lot less than renting a helicopter.
Why don't they use the black helicopters to round up all the illegals around here, makes more sense.
ReplyDeleteShall they wave hello to the unmarked grey helicopter that flies around here once in a while?
ReplyDeleteSaw the same thing down in the Florida Key's a few years back.
ReplyDeleteHow about the one finger salute? Is that OK?
