Gallup began polling opinions of race relations back in 2001. At that point, 70 percent of black Americans graded race relations as “very good” or “somewhat good,” while 62 percent of white people agreed.
Think about that… Eighteen years ago, black people were more satisfied with race relations than white people.
For another dozen years, outside of a bump here and a hiccup there, those numbers held. On average, more than 60 percent of black people and around 70 percent of white people gauged race relations as good.
In 2013, all was still good. More than two-thirds of blacks and whites were optimistic about race relations, and then it all collapsed. We went into a five-year dive we have still not recovered from. In the latest polling, only 55 percent of whites and 49 percent of blacks view race relations in a positive light.
So what happened in 2013?
What suddenly killed everything?

After all of the bull crap since we had a awful dude in the White House for eight years, I don't give a sh-t about relations. If you see clearly, the problems started and can be pin pointed during his stay on Penn Ave.
ReplyDeleteThe MSM has no intention of following its own good journalistic guidelines. Anything goes as long as it sells papers and airtime, especially if it looks like racism, whateverphobia and Trumpism.
ReplyDeleteAnd the recent race relation problems all started with 0bama.
ReplyDeletethe ghetto hustling lying obama can be blamed on it all. But no worries God has the back of the good and the righteous and the evil will continue to be punished with all their social problems including the slaughtering of their youth by each other. Proof that God's hand is in it all is the turnaround of the Smollett case, George Zimmerman and the Innocent Baltimore 6 going free. No charges for the officer in the Ferguson case and all the other officers who were either not charged or have been found not guilty. Yep God has the backs of the good and the honest and He will continue to punish the ones who do the devils work on earth.
ReplyDeleteI can't and don't understand how anyone can say they are oppressed by their race on a daily basis. At the drop of the hat, almost any one will fly off the handle in public, as recorded and posted daily on YouTube. Seriously, the McDonald's and Burger King freak outs probably has 24 hours of uploaded footage to YouTube last year alone. No one is oppressed in any way today. I hate you just as much as you hate me, and that has nothing to do with your race. Everyone just needs to man up and own who they are. A jerk, or someone who just wants to be left alone by the idiots we're forced to come into contact with. I have never, nor have I ever, seen anyone oppressed or bullied by racism. I do see and hear racist comments all the time, but ironically from blacks.
ReplyDeleteA must read! It perfectly explains how and when things changed and why it's getting worse.
ReplyDeleteJust look at how the MSM has used "make America great again " somehow into a racist slogan.
