And If You Don't Like It You Have To Pay Us Back!

Part of the contractual agreement each Officer signs states they must pay the City back if they don't like it. Officer go through the Academy being taught the "right way" and when they come on board with the SPD they completely change things, (like charges) and Officers become extremely frustrated because they were trained and hired to do a job and their Police Chief only wants to give out free pizza and keep crime stats way down by reducing charges.

Many Officers have come to me saying, who go to work every day if the Chief and Mayor and just going to dismiss charges. When they quit, (Officers) they immediately find out that they have to pay back that $10,000.00. I say, bring it to Judge Judy, IT'S A GIFT!

  1. So wrong, it’s a contractual agreement. It clearly says that if YOU (the officer) choose to leave our employment BEFORE fulfilling your two year agreement for employment with the City then the signing bonus must be refunded. Take it to any judge anywhere, if they don’t fulfill the obligation it will be returned!

  5. A police chief has no authority to reduce charges. That can only be done by the courts and the prosecutor's office.
