ReplyDeleteif this ain't bad enough. there is american english, canadian english, UK english, australian english, new zealand english all with very different meanings for various words. I once told a group of japanese business a colleague was only kidding around (teasing them). actually had to explain it to them, as they thought I meant he had kids everywhere! lol.
