Clintons Haunt Democrats in Midterms

Democrat midterm candidates closely associated with Bill and Hillary Clinton face possible hurdles as Republicans invoke their opponents’ associations to the former president and failed 2016 presidential candidate as well as their record low favorability.

Democrat U.S. Senate candidate Phil Bredesen praised former President Bill Clinton at the August 2009 Tennessee Democratic Party Jackson Day fundraiser. “I absolutely believe that President Bill Clinton wrote the book for Democratic leadership in our White House,” Bredesen said at the event. Clinton also spoke at the event, according to the Times Free Press.

Bredesen sent $33,400 in 2016 to try to elect Hillary Clinton as president. In March 2016, the former Tennessee governor suggested to Fox Business viewers that “a lot of dedicated Democrats” in Tennessee needed to “roll up their sleeves and go out and get to work” to elect Clinton in a tough state.

Still Lacking Evidence Of Sexual Assault, Democrats Now Want Kavanaugh Investigated For Perjury

Still lacking corroborating evidence of disputed sexual misconduct accusations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, some Democrats now want Kavanaugh investigated for perjury in the latest iteration of their months-long campaign to derail his confirmation.

The perjury push comes as Democrats still lack corroborating evidence to support professor Christine Blasey Ford‘s claim that Kavanaugh tried to drunkenly force himself on her while the two were in high school.

Other than Ford, none of the alleged party attendees — including Ford’s longtime friend, Leland Keyser — have any recollection of the event happening.
Two other Kavanaugh accusers similarly lack corroborating evidence for their claims.

I AM AGAINST THE WEAPONIZATION OF VICTIMHOOD

Marjie Lewis

Written by a Female Physician who was wild in college. "This is not Justice. This is Wrong... I was immersed in the party scene in college. I drank to excess. I had black out nights. I WAS GROPED AT FRAT PARTIES. If advances were unwanted I pushed the person away and set personal boundaries. I chose to be a part of the party scene. Because of this I had fun and I have regrets. I HAVE BEEN ASSAULTED AND NOT RAPED. I could replay a scenario like Christine Ford described as very similar to things that happened when excessive drinking occurred in my own experiences.
At the age of 25 I settled down and now my idea of excitement is Netflix and yoga pants. If any of my current patients saw my behavior back then, I could understand why they wouldn’t want me to care for them.
I feel like being a physician is every bit as important as being a Supreme Court Justice. The decisions we make over the span of our careers could change the lives of thousands of people and their descendants for years to come. The same can be said for the Supreme Court or any other political office held. The thing is, poor choices in the past does not, and should not disqualify them. I chugged bankers club whiskey in a cornfield and peed behind a dumpster 25 years ago. But Friday I used tiny instruments to remove infected bony partitions from the ethmoid sinus a few millimeters away from the brain. Should I have a right to operate on humans despite my past? You are damn right I do. You know why? Because I spent 20 years educating myself and sacrificing countless hours to get there. I gave up so much to be good at what I do, to be confident enough in myself to put myself out there to care for people who put their lives in my hands. My hands are capable in spite of my weaknesses of the past.
Character is built partially on learning from mistakes. Brett Kavanaugh has devoted his life to public service and the past 20 years of his life is the definition of integrity. He deserves this appointment.
I AM AGAINST THE WEAPONIZATION OF VICTIMHOOD. Believing unequivocally the woman is right every single time no matter what is giving women power to take out anyone in their path. That is not equality. This radical position is not the answer to gender discrimination and victims rights.
No one can even place Brett Kavanaugh and the Christine Ford IN THE SAME ROOM at a party that zero people recollect except for the woman making the accusations.
If every single woman must be believed every single time, we all know there will be circumstances by which someone will use this power for selfish reasons. It sets women back so far. This is not breaking the glass ceiling. THIS IS NOT JUSTICE. THIS IS WRONG.

WALSH: The Single Biggest Hole In Christine Ford's Story

Rachel Mitchell, the prosecutor recruited by Republicans to interrogate Christine Blasey Ford, has published a lengthy report outlining all of the many holes in Ford's testimony. She says that the case is "even weaker" than a standard he said-she said. No "reasonable prosecutor" would bring the case based on the evidence presented, she concluded.

Mitchell's memo is devastating to Ford and the Democrats because it reveals inconsistencies and blank spots that seem to go beyond mere memory lapses. Even her account of recent events is problematic. Ford refuses to give the committee the notes from the therapy session where she supposedly first mentioned the assault, but she can't remember if she showed those notes to the Washington Post. Her story about how she came forward with the allegations, and why, and when, is equally weird and obscure.

Quinton Tellis retrial: Jury unable to reach verdict in Jessica Chambers murder case

A hung jury forced a mistrial in the case of a Mississippi man accused of setting 19-year-old Jessica Chambers on fire and killing her.

Jurors reported they couldn’t reach a verdict Monday in the week-long trial of 29-year-old Quinton Tellis, who faced capital murder charges for the second time in Panola County Circuit Court.

Judge Gerald Chatham Clarence declared the mistrial after a day and a half of deliberation when jurors were unable to reach a unanimous decision. Initial proceedings ended under the same circumstances.

Tellis was accused of dousing the teen cheerleader with gasoline then torching her car in December 2014 on a rural road in Courtland.

Prosecutors alleged Tellis met up several times with the teen, who was a recent acquaintance, on the day of her gruesome murder.

Michigan Begins Enforcing Work Requirements for Food Stamps

Michigan’s Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) is beginning to enforce federal work requirements mandating all able-bodied adults to work 20 hours a week to receive food stamps after three months.

State officials began enforcing the work requirements statewide on Monday, although 14 counties in the state had already implemented them.

Starting Monday, new food stamp applicants between the ages of 18-49 who are able-bodied and without dependents will have to work, volunteer, or participate in job training for 20 hours a week immediately to receive benefits. People already receiving food stamps will be given a three-month grace period to find work after meeting with a case manager.

Senior Google Search Engineer Advocates for Censorship of ‘Terrorist’ Marsha Blackburn

A senior software engineer at Google with responsibility for a key feature of Google’s search engine labeled Tennessee Senate candidate Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) a “violent thug” and a “terrorist,” who Google shouldn’t “negotiate” with, according to internal emails obtained by Breitbart News. The employee also defended the censorship of her campaign ads on social media.

The comments took place in an internal email discussion that began on June 19 this year. The topic of discussion was Rep. Blackburn’s Fox News op-ed of the same month, which urged Silicon Valley companies to address bias against conservatives on their platforms. Blackburn, who has herself been the target of social media censorship, has been a vocal critic of tech giants like Google, Facebook, and Twitter during her time in Congress.

The op-ed was not well received within the corridors of Silicon Valley power. One Google employee, a site reliability engineer, called Blackburn’s piece “hilarious” and said Republicans are becoming “tribalists focused on stirring up outrage to maintain power.”

Blake Lemoine, a senior software engineer at Google, was harsher in his comments...

Kavanaugh Accuser Julie Swetnick Backtracks on Some Claims

Julie Swetnick, the woman who accused Brett Kavanaugh of drugging women and participating in gang rapes in the 1980s, spoke out at length about her allegations in an interview that aired on MSNBC Monday.

NBC News started off by noting it could not independently verify her claims. Swetnick spoke to NBC News correspondent Kate Snow about her allegations, made in a statement released last week, that Kavanaugh and his friend Mark Judge attended a party where she was drugged and gang raped. While she did not accuse Kavanaugh of assaulting her, she claimed she witnessed him participate in gang rapes. Kavanaugh has vehemently denied the allegations and denied even knowing Swetnick.

Swetnick, a current government employee being represented by lawyer Michael Avenatti, told Snow that at parties Kavanaugh was “very aggressive, very sloppy drunk, very mean drunk.”

“I saw him go up to girls and paw on them… touching them in private parts, try and shift clothing,” she claimed. “I saw him push girls against walls. He would pretend to stumble and stumble into them, push them into a wall. He would grope them.”

NBC News noted there were differences in Swetnick’s initial statement and her comments to the outlet..

Prosecutor: Christine Blasey Ford Doesn’t Know if Polygraph Was on Day of Grandmother’s Funeral

The final Senate report from Rachel Mitchell, the sex crimes prosecutor who interviewed Brett Kavanaugh and his accuser Christine Blasey Ford, questions Blasey Ford’s “struggle to recall important recent events” such as whether she took her polygraph test the same day as her grandmother’s funeral.

Appearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee last Thursday, Blasey Ford — the California professor who brought forth an allegation of teenage sexual misconduct against Kavanaugh, President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee — said she did not know whether her polygraph examination less than two months ago occurred on the same day her grandmother was buried. This discrepancy is listed among nine categories of strikes against Blasey Ford’s testimony which led Mitchell to conclude her account did not meet the preponderance-of-the-evidence standard.

When asked why Jerry Hanafin, the polygraph administrator, conducted the examination at a hotel near the Baltimore–Washington International Airport, instead of his Virginia office, Ford revealed time constraints left her unable to travel far for the test.

“I had left my grandmother’s funeral at that point at Fort Lincoln Cemetery that day and I was on a tight scheduled to get to make a plane to Manchester, New Hampshire,” the 51-year-old professor told Mitchell. “He was willing to come to me, which was appreciated.”

“So you were administered a polygraph on the day that you attended your grandmother’s funeral?” Mitchell asked.

“Correct, or it might have been the next day,” Ford responded.

As Breitbart News has previously reported, Blasey Ford was only asked two broad questions during her polygraph exam: “Is any part of your statement false?” and “Did you make up any part of your statement?”

“Ford was not asked any specific questions about the specific allegation,” Breitbart’s John Nolte pointed out — no questions to name Kavanaugh as her attacker or about the details of her story. “There are also no test or baseline questions where the subject is intentionally asked to lie.”

Study: Consequences Cut Illegal Immigration

Prosecuting illegal immigrants, or banning them from obtaining a visa, substantially reduces their likelihood of attempting to cross the border a second time, a new study concludes.

Although it only discusses a policy rolled out between 2008 and 2012, the study may have major implications for President Donald Trump's zero tolerance approach to immigration enforcement, which still requires the prosecution of most childless border crossers.

The paper is a collaboration between two university professors and three researchers with the government-funded Institute for Defense Analyses. To conduct their analysis, the authors obtained detailed, person-level data on apprehensions at the southwestern border between fiscal years 2005 and 2012. They used fingerprint data to link repeated apprehensions, building a picture of who crossed the border and at what time.

Fund Led by Steyer and Soros Rolling Out State-Focused Donations, Strategy

A 527 political organization funded primarily by a trio of liberal mega-donors—Tom Steyer, George Soros, and S. Donald Sussman—is attempting to impact local and state-level political campaigns by donating to committees funded primarily by leftwing pressure groups.

The Washington Free Beacon previously reported that the group, State Victory Action, donated $500,000 to an independent expenditure committee in Colorado in support of the Democratic gubernatorial nominee. However, a state-by-state review of other records shows SVA is also active in Minnesota, Maine, New Mexico, and Nevada, totaling about $1.7 million in disclosed funding thus far in state campaign finance reports.

Furthermore, records filed with the IRS show SVA had raised just over $14 million by the end of June, suggesting most of the money is yet to be spent with just five weeks remaining until the election. Steyer, Sussman, and Soros represent more than 95 percent of those funds raised.

Women will be required on corporate boards in California, new landmark law says

More women will have a seat at corporate tables in California after a bill was signed into law Sunday by the governor.

The measure signed by Gov. Jerry Brown requires California-based, public corporations to have at least one female director on their boards, by the end of next year.

By the end of 2021, companies with "principal executive offices" in the state would be required to have up to three female directors, depending on the number of board seats.

Former President Obama Doesn’t Endorse Alleged Domestic Abuser Keith Ellison

Former President Obama released his second round of endorsements for a number of November midterm election candidates on Monday, and alleged domestic abuser Congressman Keith Ellison, who is running for Minnesota Attorney General, was notably left off his list.

One of Ellison’s former girlfriends, Karen Monahan, has accused him of domestic violence. She recently posted both private messages from the congressman and records from her doctor dating back a year to substantiate her claims.

Despite the allegations, Ellison obtained the Minnesota Democratic Farm Labor (DFL) Party endorsement for the Attorney General race. Obama didn’t endorse any candidate running for the position.

Obama Endorses Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Former President Barack Obama endorsed Democratic socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Monday in her New York congressional race.

“The Democratic Party has always made the biggest difference in the lives of the American people when we lead with conviction, principle, and bold, new ideas,” Obama said in a statement sent to reporters.

The former president did not include Ocasio-Cortez in his first round of endorsements in the congressional midterms but included her in his second round of over 250 additional endorsements announced on Monday.

“Our incredible array of candidates up and down the ticket, all across the country, make up a movement of citizens who are younger, more diverse, more female than ever before,” Obama said. “They’re Americans who aren’t just running against something, but for something.”

FACT CHECK: DID KAVANAUGH REFUSE TO SUBMIT TO AN FBI INVESTIGATION OVER SEXUAL ASSAULT ALLEGATIONS?

Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren said in a tweet Friday that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh refused to submit to an FBI investigation over recent sexual assault allegations.
Of course we need an FBI investigation before voting. So far, Brett Kavanaugh has refused over and over again to submit to one. He lied repeatedly while under oath. I don’t know when the full Senate will ultimately vote. But NOW is the time to make your voice heard.
“Of course we need an FBI investigation before voting. So far, Brett Kavanaugh has refused over and over again to submit to one,” Warren said in the tweet.

Verdict: False

Kavanaugh indicated that he would cooperate with any investigative actions that the Senate Judiciary Committee wanted to pursue, including an FBI investigation.

Fact Check:

The Senate Judiciary Committee held a hearing Sept. 27 to address a sexual assault allegation from Christine Blasey Ford, a psychology professor at Palo Alto University who said that Kavanaugh tried to remove her clothes and put his hand over her mouth at a house party when they were in high school in the early 1980s.

Kavanaugh also faces allegations from Deborah Ramirez, who attended Yale University with Kavanaugh and alleged that he exposed himself to her at a dorm party when they were freshmen, and Julie Swetnick, who claimed that Kavanaugh attended parties in high school where women were gang-raped.

The FBI conducts background checks on Supreme Court nominees, but hadcompleted its investigation into Kavanaugh before the allegations were revealed. Democratic senators on the committee repeatedly asked Kavanaugh at the hearing whether he would support or call for the FBI to reopen its investigation, a request that needed to come from the White House.

While Kavanaugh did not directly say that he would ask for an investigation, he did not “refuse” to submit to one. He indicated that he would support and cooperate with any actions that the committee wanted to take.

Trump Tells Reporters: ‘I Consider You A Part Of The Democrat Party’

Trump was addressing reporters gathered at the White House for a press conference on the new trade agreement reached between the U.S., Mexico and Canada when he veered off script and took questions on his embattled Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Trump took aim at Senate Democrats for targeting Kavanaugh, saying, “I know them too well. You know what? They are not angels.”

Trump expounded on the “angels” allegation later, decrying Senators Richard Blumenthal, Cory Booker and Dianne Feinstein for various lies and sexually explicit activity. Trump then turned his aim to the press, saying that Feinstein leaked the allegations to them.

Mother files federal lawsuit after son doesn’t make high school soccer team

LADUE, Mo. — A St. Louis mother has filed a federal lawsuit, claiming that a soccer coach's decision to cut her son from the junior varsity team was age discrimination.

KTVI reports if a junior Ladue High School student does not make the varsity team, the boy cannot play again on the junior varsity team. This is in an attempt to allow lower grade students a chance to develop their skills and later try out for varsity.

The mother of a junior who did not make the cut, identified only as John Doe, said this is unfair and believes her son is good enough to play on the junior varsity team again.

According to the Riverfront Times, the boy's mom alleged that this practice violates age discrimination laws and Title IX, a civil rights law attempting to guarantee equal access in public education regardless of gender, because the policy is not in place for younger boys or female athletes.

The suit claims the soccer coach told the boy's mom that he was "right on the bubble" of making the team, but that there were too many kids who had a better soccer skill and soccer IQ for him to make the team. The coach also wasn't willing to put the boy on junior varsity again,

Schumer: Trump 'deserves praise' for work to fix Mexico, Canada trade deal

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., gave President Trump rare praise Monday for the renegotiated trade deal between the U.S., Mexico, and Canada announced earlier in the day.

Schumer said that Trump "deserves praise" for taking "large steps" to improve the outgoing North American Free Trade Agreement, which Trump had derided for years as a "disaster." The new deal, known as the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, or USMCA, was reached late Sunday night between the three countries after months of negotiations.

“As someone who voted against NAFTA and opposed it for many years, I knew it needed fixing. The president deserves praise for taking large steps to improve it," Schumer said. "However, any final agreement must be judged on how it benefits and protects middle-class families and the working people in our country."

This Incredible Art Is Painted on Stones

Art has become incredibly versatile these days. Canvases are no longer what they used to be.

Now, artists look beyond the ordinary and find a way to turn it into something extraordinary.

One such artist is Akie Nakata who creatively turns stones into cute little animals. But this is no easy task.

For Akie, it is more than just painting on a stone. She strives to bring out the living being that she feels in the stone and proceeds carefully.
First, she considers where she is positioning the backbone. She also states that it is the stone that determines what she paints on it. Her goal?

To paint the life, the living spirit of the being she feels inside the stone. Take a look:
