SWANTON, Ohio (CBS Local) — An Ohio father is teaching his 10-year-old daughter a lesson about bullying that she’ll probably never forget.
Matt Cox made his daughter, Kristen, walk five miles to school in 36-degree weather after she was suspended from riding the school bus on Nov. 30. It was the second time she had gotten into trouble for bullying.

While I think the punishment of walking was perfect...posting the video is bullying.
ReplyDeleteWhelp this guy will have the cops called, and i'm sure CPS will be involved saying this guy endangered his kid... If he is not already in jail...
ReplyDeleteHer father's bullying of his daughter borders on abuse. Piss poor lesson! He sure has an empty toolbox when it comes to parenting tools. I think Dad has some bullying issues of his own.
ReplyDeleteBet it was all up hill both ways too.
ReplyDeleteGreat lesson for this kid. The father obviously followed the child in his car to ensure her safety and the walk was probably healthy for the kid. The piss poor lesson would be if he allowed his daughter to play on her cell for the 5 mile walk, which I'm sure some "parents--NOT" would have allowed and do nothing to punish the child. The empty toolbox parent is the one who has no parenting tools and refuses to discipline their children, like so many "parents" today. They foster the future criminals and dregs of society that we see in schools and real life today. The parents need to grow up themselves and realize their little angels are not always angels and need this type of discipline. I agree with the father and fully support his decision. Too bad it wasn't ten miles and also too bad the "piss poor parent comment" wasn't made to walk with the child. It seems this "piss poor parent" needs some real life edu-maction.
ReplyDelete3:51 I sure hope your comment was sarcastic. If not, you are an idiot. Kid got kicked off bus for bullying. How did she expect to get to school? Have her dad drive her? Where is the lesson in that. I would have done the same thing as this dad. He is a parental hero for this. Those who do not agree must be snowflakes who coddle their kids. Great job to this parent!
