I remember watching these Peter Sellers movies with my dad when they would come on ABC back in the day. We would be laughing uncontrollably to the point where my dad would have tears in his eyes from laughing so hard. Never thought about it then but thinking about it now - no cursing, no violence, just good old fashion dry humor. This guy was a genius!
ReplyDeleteI miss Sellers. " Being There " was sublime and " Dr. Strangelove " a hilarious parody of post WW2 cold war nonsense and paranoia. He was and avid hallucinogen user and far brilliant beyond the Pink Panther movies.
