Blitzed: This Is How Lie-A-Watha Warren Found Out About Her Illegal Fundraising Ethics Complaint

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) is expected to be re-elected on Tuesday, but that doesn’t mean she can’t trip up and have embarrassing moments. She’s already become the source of mockery for her fake ancestral claim to the Cherokee Nation, which has infuriated some actual members of the tribe. She released the results of a DNA test, which she says proves her claim, though it shows she’s just another white lady. She’s 1/1024th Native American. Yet, this isn’t the only time she’s been…scalped.

During the vicious fight over Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination, she apparently ran aground of ethics rules; she’s been accused of illegally fundraising off the Kavanaugh fight, promising anti-Kavanaugh supporters an opposition vote if they gave money. During Tuesday’s Massachusetts Senate debate, this complaint was brought up by her Republican challenger, Geoff Diehl, and backed up by the moderator.
