Who else heard that loud boom? We have gotten reports so far from Salisbury, Delmar and Pittsville. Did you hear it and where were you when you heard it?
Yes, heard a very loud boom followed by an "aftershock" a few seconds later. Rattled my home and scared the crap out of my toddlers, whom I was just putting down for a nap. Eastern side of Salisbury here just within the bypass.
I'm in mardela and it shook my truck and trees all-around my job site. Most definitely not a plane though. I've felt and heard Sonic booms before and nothing like this
We are on north end of SBY about 5min from Lowe's; heard the one loud boom followed by the second softer boom. Spouse is on the east side of SBY near DMV; they heard it there. too.
We heard two different booms. Both were loud enough to shake our entire business in Fruitland. Sounded like sonic booms, but was much louder than ones I've heard before. And the vibrations were much stronger. I've hear electrical transformers blow in front of our shop and that was super quiet in comparison.
6:19 PM -Patrick Gordon, NAS Patuxent River public affairs officer, said while they do have aircraft flying in the area, none were approved to go supersonic, so they were not the cause.
I heard it and felt a boom while I was at the light on Mill Street, near the bridge around 3:30. I thought someone had an accident bc there were lots of sirens from ambulances etc right afterwards.
My house in Hebron shook. I went outside to see what had happened. My son was out in the yard, and said it sounded like an explosion. I though it might have been a gas explosion from the Royal Farms store at the end of my road. My other son works downtown in the Plaza. He told me they also heard and felt the boom. At least there was no mushroom cloud!!!!
i heard it and felt it near the Centre at Salisbury. Cars were stopping, thinking they blew a tire. i thought someone hit me, it shook my truck so much. Loud as a shotgun blast, but a cannon-like concussion.
7:20 you are to damn funny! every military pilot is restricted from going supersonic over the usa. unless of course it's prior approved! but having been in the military working on jets for years I can tell you it happens a lot more then you think! he's just telling you what he's been told to tell you! and you bought it! lmao! Semper Fi
some hotshot top gun must have went supersonic at a low altitude, they aren`t suppose to do that but when they do it will rattle the fillings out of your teeth, it happens a lot here on deal island,it rattles the windows and the walls.
It's amusing to read posts about military pilots out horsing around during training missions. You should have lived here when they did live bombing missions at bloodsworth island. Sounds like most of you would have been walking around like a cat shi**** pineapple.
