With the 2018 elections less than a month away, support for cannabis legalization continues to climb. More than six in ten Americans now think cannabis use should be made legal, according to a new Pew Research Center survey.
The increase continues three decades of steadily growing support among nearly all demographic groups—and represents double the support Pew found in 2000. Even groups who remain opposed to legalization, such as Republicans and older Americans, have become far more favorable to the idea in the past several years.

ReplyDelete62%. Wow. You can't get 62% of the people to agree on the color of the sky these days! Sounds like maybe one of the only bi-partisan issues congress can work on.
ReplyDeleteIt is all about making money and until you can surpass the private sector owning of prisons and the like, you will never have legal weed at federal level... Plus you have the big pharma fighting against it and so we know how that goes...
ReplyDeleteA safe place for politicians to hang out is in support of more medical marijuana research, keeping in mind the physician's pledge to "first, do no harm".
