Newt Gingrich: Blue wave of liberal cash from California and New York flooding Georgia governor's race

You’ve probably heard a lot about the supposed blue wave the political elite are predicting for the election cycle. I’m confident Republicans will keep control of the House and the Senate, but a different kind of blue wave is currently washing across several states.

It’s a blue wave of liberal funding.

A massive flow of money from liberal donors in California and New York is pouring into traditionally Republican states and districts. We first saw this blue wave of cash during the special elections held to replace the Congressmen and Senators who were appointed to the Trump Administration. The most notable was the race between Republican Karen Handel and Democrat Jon Ossoff in my old district, the 6th District of Georgia.

This Georgia special election was the most expensive in history. According to The New York Times, the campaigns raised about $28 million – with the bulk, $23.6 million going to Ossoff. Of Ossoff’s haul, 82 percent was from outside Georgia, and the majority of contributions came from notoriously left-wing states, like California and New York.

  1. The scary cash is what's being raised by Ben Jealous for Coven in order to defeat Andy Harris.
If we don't want another liberal in the House, we all need to beat the drum for Dr. Harris, who's been very proactive for the Eastern Shore.

  2. Campaign contribution laws are off the rails, even affecting local races. Salisbury's mayoral and council races are immensely funded by the real estate/landlord/property investment cabal that gets tens of thousands of PAC dollars from Chicago and Baltimore. Recent recipients have been Jake Day and Jack Heath, the darlings of those groups, who don't have to lift a finger to get funded with "foreign" dollars. How is that fair when other candidates have to work hard for the few thousand dollars they need to mount their campaigns?

The same works for the county offices. John Cannon, Jack Heath (again) have tens of thousands given to them on a platter to run, all without a moment of effort on their part (except to privately declare that they're the tools the cabal wants.)

  3. I'm voting for Andy but this state is a lost cause with democrats in full control of Annaoplis, there will be no growth here until that changes.

  4. So far, this strategy has not worked for the ‘blue wave’ with the exception of PA - I think they are throwing good money after bad.... just think of all the real good that money could do if channeled to infastructure, regrowing the economy in the path POTUS has already moved the USA , and like minded sources - MAGA!
