Jack Heath, We Want Answers, Not Propaganda & Excuses!

Bob Culver (R) is obviously more experienced and as the Daily Times article said, Culver has done great things for the county in this position. In every interview Bob Culver has an in- depth understanding of the County and its operations. Bob Culver is clear on his accomplishments as County Executive and enthusiastic about his vision of the County’s future (supported by his logo, “We’re not done yet”).

Bob Culver’s has:

 Held his promise to run Wicomico County like a business and will continue to do so

 Saved an additional $10 million without raising taxed or cutting services

 Developed the Salisbury Airport into a major business center for the future

 Increased the County’s sports revenue by over $8 million

 Leading County in the State of Maryland for opioid reduction

 Built 3 new schools over the last 4 years and funded 9 upcoming Board of Education projects and a Public Safety Building

John Hamilton (D) lacks any experience in government. Why is he not going for Council  instead of Executive?

Jack Heath (I) only talks about his family, schools and spending money. This guy is so broad in his speaking. We have not heard any details regarding the actual job or what this guy can do in the job.

Unanswered questions:

 What is his vision for Wicomico County? He says he has one, why have we not heard it?

 Jack Heath moved here, he moved away, he came back. He thinks the schools are not of good quality, but, yet his daughters stay here to teach and raise their families in our school system. How does he measure quality education, by teachers’ salary, the test scores of students, or the condition of the schools?

 Wants to fully fund the Board of Education’s $7 million strategic plan with no discussion of how the County will pay for it or what he plans on doing with the current projects or fund any other County operation (including public safety)

 Heath’s track record is raising taxes. He has raised taxes 2 out of the 4 years on City Council. The city taxes are now higher than the Wicomico County’s. The fees and water and sewer rates have been raised.

 What is the reserve fund in the City? Has it been raised or lowered since Heath has been in office?

Based on above, with full confidence, vote Bob Culver for Wicomico County Executive!

  1. All SFD is supporting Heath because he promises to get their money back under a new fire agreement, news for ya guys YOUR mayor signed that agreement!! Culver looked out for what was best for Wicomico county, it was your mayor's job to look out for the city including the members of SFD. Don't be all butt hurt with Culver, seems you needs answers from the mayor. But let us all know how you make out when your taxes go up because Heath gets rid of the tax cap.

  4. Just remember everyone Heath has a track record of embezzlment. Maybe he didnt know he had employees at Lower Shore stealing but how can anyone vote for a man to run our county's future when they cant even manage a small operation like Lower Shore Enterprizes.

AS for the tax hike. I'm a renter as are 70% of people living here. Im paying the tax increase on landlords that he helped pass, not my landlord.

  5. The Libs don't care if he raises taxes because they don't work or own land. They want everyone else to pay for their follies.

  6. Heath is not what anybody could call a dynamic leader. He's mostly a follower. So, if he's elected, who will be leading him? The last few years point to Jake Day's buddies in real estate and rentals.

John T Cannon any comment on your running mate’s constant public shenanigans?

Like being involved with a white supremacist who harasses community leaders, going on misleading rants on social media platforms, openly campaigning on half-truths or blatantly false information, and of course a DUI.

Please don’t tell me the level of partisan politics is so strong in Wicomico County that folks are willing to stay quiet and look the other way then do what is right.

How are we supposed to get anything done if that is what is going on?

Typical tactic of the Democrat Socialists, name calling and accusing someone of being a "White Supremacist." When in reality, they are the true RACISTS.

  11. Now why isn't anyone discussing the fact that Jack Heath allowed this major embezzlement to occur under his watch as CEO of the Lower Shore Enterprises, not even the Daily Times?

Why isn't Jack Heath disclosing this when he brags about "When I was a CEO??

Woman pleads guilty in Lower Shore Enterprises theft
    vjunkin@dmg.gannett.comPublished 5:25 p.m. ET Aug. 6, 2014

    • Brenda Malone, 43, of Willards pleaded guilty to theft: $10,000 to under $100,000 on Monday.
    • She will have to pay $75,952.05 in restitution to Lower Shore Enterprises, her former employer.
    • Malone was sentenced to 10 years of suspended time.

A Willards woman avoided an active prison sentence in an internal theft from Lower Shore Enterprises, but will have to pay more than $75,000 in restitution to the nonprofit.
Brenda Malone, 43, pleaded guilty to a count of theft: $10,000 to under $100,000 on Monday, and she was sentenced to 10 years of suspended time. Two other theft counts were dismissed against Malone, who was formerly a Lower Shore Enterprises employee.
As a condition of her five-year supervised probation, Malone will have to pay back $75,952.05 to Lower Shore Enterprises, according to court records. If she were to violate her probation by not paying the restitution, she could face up to 10 years in prison.
Lower Shore Enterprises is a nonprofit based in Salisbury that helps local people with disabilities find work.
Wicomico County Deputy State's Attorney Ella Disharoon said Lower Shore Enterprises wanted Malone to pay the restitution and have a felony conviction –– which she now does.
"It was more important to them that the money be repaid than for her to go to jail," Disharoon said.
Malone's defense attorney, John Phoebus, said the Division of Parole and Probation will determine a restitution schedule for Malone to pay the money back over time.
He said she decided to take the plea "primarily because it avoided any active period of incarceration for her at all."
The binding nature of the plea agreement made it so that the sentence would be suspended, Phoebus said. Disharoon said the binding plea also included the restitution and the 5-year period of probation.
By making the guilty plea, Malone has accepted responsibility, Phoebus said.

"She was being provided family health insurance coverage without Lower Shore Enterprises' authorization," Disharoon said.
The allegations are detailed by the state in an answer to a defense motion filed in June.
"The specific allegations of theft are that the Defendant, without authority or consent, paid her husband's business' federal income tax debt using funds of LSE; that the Defendant took money to which she was not entitled from a health insurance refund check issued to LSE; and that the Defendant authorized health insurance benefits to which she was not entitled for years 2005 to 2012," according to part of that court document.

The total amount of theft alleged in the file is not included in the restitution amount because Malone had already paid back some of it, Disharoon said.
Lower Shore Enterprises is moving forward without Malone. In February, Luis Luna, who at the time was CEO of the nonprofit, said Malone hadn't been with the organization since September 2012.
She had been chief operating officer for about six years, and began working there in 1989 as a receptionist.
"It's a new day for Lower Shore; we're happy to put it behind us and move on," said Lauri Andrews, director of client services at Lower Shore Enterprises, on Wednesday.

  12. When Heath comes into the Government Office Building, he walks through looking down. He does not speak to anyone or even look at what is going on around him. Far from personable. At events, he is reserved, looking downward, not talking to people. That is not a leader, it is a "rubber stamp" follower. We want a leader, vote Bob Culver.

  13. Heath has stated that he does not have a plan. It will be everyone else's plan. I have heard him state that multiple times. That tells me that he does know what he is going to do except spend money. He is so like duh, where am I, what do I do next?

  14. A true CEO has a vision. Heath is not a leader or CEO. He can not lead this County. I see no life in him. People are smarter than he thinks. I would rather have a person of energy like Culver that gets things done, even if that does mean stirring it up to get it done. Great job Mr. Culver.

  15. County residents do not want to become the City of Salisbury and pay higher taxes. No Heath.

  16. Bob Culver has done a good job. He deserves 4 more years to finish his acknowledgments. Bob is getting things done. The problem does not appear to the the players. The problem appears to be Cannon as Council President. Remove Cannon from that roll and bet you will see a much smoother running government. Council needs to make that corrective action.

  17. If Jack Heath wins this election, we can kiss Wicomico County farewell! He is so joined at the hip with Jake Day, who has done nothing but spend money, line his own pockets and the pockets of his LLC buddies, that Jack Heath will do the same in the County and assist Jake Day with his program! VOTE CULVER

  18. I know Jack personally and he is a very nice man. He is however very very left wing. He is out of touch with today's issues. Only concerns himself with following others. He is trying to pave his road to being the next major. Culver is a true man of the people. I've seen him over and over again supporting every youth program in the area. Helps with countless urban issues. The only chance Jack has is if Hamilton drops out and heath picks up the dems votes.

I see him ride up in his car with his magnetic stickers on the side and shuffle into the GOB I go out of my way to say hi. He says nothing. He looks tired, beat and just going thru the motions. Job or no come Jan or July I am not voting for this man.

  20. Hey Joe, as an FYI if you want to post it for future reference, the first picture has:

Dan O'Hare - Running for State Delegate. Stupid looking flat cap, beard and hands in his pockets. Lazy.

Jamaad Gould - Running for County Council at Large. Black guy waving his Black Lives Matters Flag.

Michele Gregory - Running for County Council District 3. Fat Chick wearing the blue hoodie and walking around with gloves on.

James Yamakawa - Half White Racist wearing the fake cowboy hat and carrying the defaced American flag with "Lynching victims" names scribbled on it and dragging it on the ground. He obviously hates this country and our flag.

Amber Green - Racist black chick in the picture and a City of Salisbury employee.

  21. If key Democrats from the Democrat Central Committee like Gaines Hawkins breaks ranks to come out and publicly endorse Jack Heath then that speaks volumes. He supports Jack over their own registered Democrat candidate then that tells me that Jack Heath is a LIBERAL DEMOCRAT!!

I don't know what "their money" is?

Do you mean the County fund that each volunteer company in the county got?

Well that went away in the Fire Service Agreement. Fire Chief Rick Hoppes and Mare Jake Day wrote it out of the Fire Service Agreement.

Don't know why they wrote it out of the Fire Service Agreement, but it makes sense to me since there really aren't any volunteers anymore. No volunteers manning the equipment like the rest of the county. A volunteer that occasionally rides a fire truck with paid firemen doesn't justify the county grant. Sorry.

  24. 8:10...I agree that it would appear Heath is actually a democrat if this Gaines Hawkins character supported Heath. But in my humble opinion, it would also be the kiss of death for Heath to have his name even mentioned in a sentence with such a loser. Did the Hawkins boy ever sober up and become a member of society or is he still a ward of the state...just wondering.
