I could not believe the hype the local media was creating for this event while it was happening but I hope all of you caught what they were saying, HUNDREDS of people, not thousands or tens of thousands. They continued to repeat there were only hundreds.
Incompetent, that's your Mayor and every city official involved in this event. Many were saying the Mayor completely lucked out that it rained and went on to say they had prayed for clear skies because Day wouldn't have any excuses for this massive failure.
Day and Heath need to be terminated. Taxpayers lost MILLIONS of dollars for this piece of crap event. Call me negative all you want, it sucked. We had more people last night in Trader Lee's then this piece of crap event. Guess what, WE MADE MONEY! I'll guarantee I brought in more money from the sale of tee shirts these past few days then they brought in from the bucket brigade BS.
Here's the final difference. It was MY MONEY at risk, not the taxpayers. "It was your election to lose".
The voters of Salisbury are to blame for their own destruction along with the demise of Salisbury. They allowed this BS and continues to vote in these idiots. They can't complain about their rise in taxes when they allow it and deserve the results of their inaction in the voting booth and the stealing of City property by the slum lords and contractor homeboys.

Salisbury as I knew it has been destroyed. Downtown hasn't been restored. Salisbury as I know it, has been torn down and rebuilt to fit thee fools that the city elected. But maybe I can find enough energy out of this mess called Salisbury, to get the heck out.
ReplyDelete10:30 most of the voters could care less because most do not pay taxes or very little anyway. Salisbury is overwhelmingly rentals and almost all are subsidized by the tax payers. Landlords don't care about wasted tax dollars since they are getting it back from the government.

I feel bad for the artist that came to perform and had to smile and make the best of this mess , the vendors that lost money and the poor volunteers that got roped into hours of work. ReplyDeleteTaxes are factored into to rent payments so a portion of each and every rent check is a tax payment to the landlord who forwards it to the government. They also pay sales tax and they pay income tax. Just like the rest of us.

You better believe it. When decent people don't step up to the plate and run for office this is what happens.
When these bums living in rental properties keep voting for Democrats this is what you get.
Sometimes I wonder if it would be a good idea to let property owners vote in the city elections. Unfortunately, they would be voting for Democrats to give the their perceived entitlements.
You got fleeced in more ways than one. This fiasco is one of the chief reasons why there’s been so many moving violations issued by SPD. They had a folk festival to pay for and what’s a grand way to raise money? Tickets. Tickets. And more tickets. For the ones so excited about this festival, you got made and played.
