ReplyDeleteHmmm... if there were 65,000 people at the Folk Festival (ha)...wouldn't they also be touting how successful the bucket brigade was as well? I still can't believe that 60-70 number. I was there Friday, Saturday and Sunday...at no point, day or night, was it packed.

Joe this was one of the Folk Festival performers, but I'm having a difficult time trying to figure out how this is Folk Music? Ghetto just like Carl Anderton is.
ReplyDeleteA popular performance of the day was beatboxer and former member of The Roots, Rahzel Manely Brown. Brown completely packed the Perdue Dance Pavilion during his evening performance.
One person was upset he missed the show. Anderton was able to hear the crowd from Main Street. However, the delegate was too busy working the Bucket Brigade to attend.
Here is a youtube video of this Folk Muscian performing somewhere. I know many of us are glad we missed him.
BTW where is the Perdue Dance Pavilion? Is it in the Ghetto where the Perdue plant is? That would be my guess.

Imagine that, Carl Anderton kissing Jake Day’s a$$ just like he did with Jim Ireton. Very suspicious that Carl isn’t with his wife but usually Bunky Luffman and Jake Day.

ReplyDeleteJos, on the cover of the independent is a picture of the festival. You will see a 4 MAN SECURITY TEAM shaved heads black dark jackets surrounding the mayor but out of the view from selfie picture. WHO IS PAYING for it and WHY??? Safe city ?

The figures of the actual number at the festival are way off. I have talked to a lot of people there and all over the festival each day they estimate maybe a thousand. What gives?
ReplyDeleteThat black jacket team is the Governor ‘s security not Jakes. I know 2 of them. So that is state taxpayer money paying for his security like any other Gov. in a crowd situation. Check Hogan’s page it same team in his pics at every event.

ReplyDeleteThe security detail was probably there to cover his lyin' butt if a city employee who was forced to 'volunteer' lost it when they saw the scant crowds and odd performers they'd given up their weekend for.

ReplyDeleteNot only is this a damn lie, but it's almost a Soviet Union style lie- a blatant number inflation whose ultimate goal is to make you think you're the nutso one- "maybe there really WERE 70,000 people, maybe I'm wrong". That's the point of government lies- they make you feel like you're the one without a grip on reality, not them. I was there. All three days, at different times of the day. I saw tents filled up halfway, at best. I saw very few people walking around. I saw the riverside stage empty with the lights off. Jake Day is a damn liar.

Why do you think Carl Anderton is so close to Jake Day and Jim Ireton and not Bob Culver?
ReplyDeleteCarl Anderton is trying to get the State of Maryland to force Wicomico County taxpayers to pay a tax differential to
the City of Salisbury and Delmar. Just think you idiots that voted for Carl Anderton might have to pay more in taxes to make up for that lost revenue the county may have to pay those two municipalities.
If that happens some of us will personally start a petition to recall Carl Anderton and when we are successful we will start a petition to dissolve the town charters in Salisbury and Delmar. There is no need for multiple forms of government in Wicomico County. What a waste of tax dollars.
