Matt Drudge predicts Dems will win 60 House seats in midterms

Matt Drudge, the founder of the conservative news aggregation site Drudge Report, predicted Friday that the GOP would lose 60 seats in the House in November's midterm elections.

Drudge appeared to base his prediction on President Trump's approval rating according to a Rasmussen Reports poll released Friday. The poll found that Trump's approval rating matched former President Obama's approval at the same stage in his presidency at 47 percent among likely voters.

"Trump and Obama both have 47% approval at this time of presidency, according to Rasmussen," Drudge tweeted. "Trump will also lose 60 seats in the House like Obama did during first midterm! Unless..."

  5. That's a lot of seats.

You lazy a$$ Republicans need to get out the voter and make sure your family members get out the vote. Keep it going!

  6. Well, I just spent $120 with my family to attend the annual Wicomico County Republican Club Crab Feast to eat crabs and hear our candidates speak. To our dismay, the club president got up and said a couple of words and made introductions of the current elected officials but didn't introduce all of the candidates. Then he turned the mic over to Andy Harris the Congressman who said a few things. No big deal. We already know Mr. Harris and we are going to vote for him, but that is not who we went there to see. Then they gave the mic to some guy with a 'bury t-shirt on who said something about the crab feast. Then they turned the mic off and walked off somewhere.

We waited and waited and never got to hear our candidates speak so at this point I'm not even sure who our candidates are and I may not even be voting. I thought these events were for a meet and greet right before the elections so we can get to know who we are going to vote for.

What a waste of our as some of the people didn't seem friendly and it appeared to be a poorly ran event. I'm pretty sure I won't be going back next year or joining the Republican Club. I almost wrote a check for that today, but I'm glad I didn't. Their club president needs to resign.

No wonder so many people are leaving the Republican Party and no wonder Matt Drudge made his prediction that 60 Democrats will win in November. What a wasted Party we have become.

  8. I still believe that most people understand to vote for a democrat or not at all is to lose all the gains under the Trump adminiistration. They won't let that happen

  9. The Wicomico Republican Party is a joke. They have no leadership that knows that they are to promote and have Candidates to have exposure and present their views and be available to the Public. They are just a social club. They do nothing to promote good Republican Candidates. They do not have open minds to listen and evaluate new ideas from the ones who attend their meetings. They do not make Republicans new to their meetings welcome. That is why I quit and have not attended in 3 years. We do more on our own with out having to pay dues and listen to a lot of the same old BS.
