The tractor trailer was travelling Southbound on Snow Hill road when the operator believes the load may have shifted causing the tractor trailer to overturn, resulting in 4 of the10 barrels falling into a field and two reportedly spilling. There was also a Verizon telephone pole that was struck.

Yes the load shifted that's my story and I am sticking to it, no I wasn't driving to fast
ReplyDeleteWhy did the State Fire Marshal respond?
ReplyDeleteThe Worcester co fire marshals are also the hazmat response team. And bomb squad..
DeleteTrained in multiple backgrounds.
If they needed a real fire marshal they could have called Eric Cramer from the Salisbury Fire Department. I'm sure he wasn't doing anything anyway and much closer.
ReplyDeleteSodium Hydroxide is a really dangerous chemical. It will burn the skin right off your body. Wonder how they are going to neutralize the spill without it getting into the drinking supply ?
ReplyDeleteA county vehicle leaked something on the bridge Rt. 50 downtown and 4 vehicles were there for the clean up. One was hazmat. What was that all about?
