Did The CIA & Saudi Arabia Conspire To Keep 9/11 Details Secret?

It’s easier to bury uncomfortable facts than to confront them. So this September 11, the ceremonies marking the 2001 attacks on New York and Washington, D.C., will simply honor the dead. In Manhattan, tourists and mourners will gather where the World Trade Center Towers once stood, lowering their heads in memory of the 2,606 who perished there. The services won't reflect the view that the attacks might well have been prevented.

But for hundreds of families and a growing number of former FBI agents, the grief of another 9/11 ceremony will be laced with barely muted rage: There remains a conspiracy of silence among high former U.S. and Saudi officials about the attacks.

“It’s horrible. We still don’t know what happened,” said Ali Soufan, one of the lead FBI counterterrorism agents whom the CIA kept in the dark about the movements of the future Al-Qaeda hijackers. To Soufan and many other former national security officials, the unanswered questions about the events leading up to the September 11, 2001, attacks dwarf those about the assassination of John F. Kennedy, because “9/11 changed the whole world.” It not only led to the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq, the fracturing of the Middle East and the global growth of Islamic militantism but also pushed the U.S. closer to being a virtual homeland-security police state.

  1. Yes, we all know it. Look how Bush even got the TV news to digital remove the people jumping to their deaths. He even helped the Bin Lodin family escape.

  2. Osama WANTED people to think Saudi Arabia was behind the attack, in order to start a new world war. That's why he picked mostly Saudi's for the roles of the hijackers.

CIA leadership reminds me of 'Bill& Ted's Excellent Adventure'. It's degrading to the mind to be exposed to the amount of counter productive 'spook' actions over the years that produced NOTHING but dead bodies.
John Brennan and his predecessors are no more than an expensive clown carnival. I could venture a guess that CIA planning and failure hasn't faded from the minds of us seniors pertaining to 'The Bay of Pigs' fiasco in the time of the Kennedy era.
Cia operatives were also involved in the blitz in Pakistan that resulted in mass casualties when Hillary Clinton tried to pawn it off as 'related to the anti Muslim movement and subsequent movie'. What a crock. This subterfuge again endeavored to HIDE incompetence of the Bozo squad.
Instead of abolishing ICE, some thought should be given to the fact these 'covert operations' are also engineered to incite calamity in the USA as well as abroad. CIA reminds me of Roto-Rooter service for the politicians that started with Richard Nixon except that class of industrial spies were far and away superior to these 'Operatives' that bungle operations time after time and are covered up.
I think their title should be changed to the Dept.of Sewers & Idiocracy, accordingly with their expertise and percentage of success.

  4. That was one way to get a war started so people here could get rich off of it. Maybe that's why there are so many multi millionaires in the Congress and the Senate. Their money is coming from somewhere. Vietnam was started by our own government because they needed a war then too. People got super rich off of that one too. Funny though. our sons and daughters had to go to those wars, but the sons and daughters of the Congress and the Senate did not. And they don't go to this one either.

  5. 10:49 AM, Did you notice that Bush protected the Saudi's? He even went as far as going there to assure them that we would not attack them, even though the majority of the people on those planes were from Saudi Arabia. He was walking around hand in hand with their leader. He was rather chummy with those people. Have to protect the interest of the oil people, you know. But you do know that he never did a single thing in retaliation of America being attacked. Not one thing. He sent troops to Iraq, but they had nothing to do with it.
