What a horrid waste of taxpayer money that could have been used to fix the many things that are rundown in da Bury, such as the City Park and Zoo. Thanks Jake and Jackeroo.
why are there only chairs at one stage and not the others? did these idiots really think we wanted to sit in the grass or stand for 2 hours while we tried to enjoy the entertainment?
their choice of the prmc stage is a total disaster
I really wish IT HADN'T RAINED, because I'd like to have seen this even FAIL ON IT'S OWN!
No, not that I wouldn't like to see music in this area, and events to go to, but the entire boondoggle and mismanagement of our taxpayer funds. If the National Folk Festival is a non-profit group, then why they hell are they not setting it up and funding it? Seems like a huge scheme for them to make money at OUR expense.
I just don't want Jakey to be able to stand up next year and go, well the only reason we lost money is because it rained... This year will be different. Cancel the 3 year contract, it was a HUGE mistake.
I really how a true independent out of state audit firm looks at Salisbury's books this year (no one connected with the city or Jakey's dad at Perdue) and files criminal charges against this boy mayor for stupidity!
Awful and tacky looking amphitheater. Looks like they hauled in a semi trailer and cut part of it off and put up a sign. But this is typical Salisbury. No class a complete lack of sophistication and taste.
I just googled hotels in Salisbury for tonight and 43 hotels in the area popped up for availability including West Ocean City. I thought that 100,000 plus crowd was going to book every hotel in the area?
Thank goodness and the Lord for the rain -- it's keeping the dirtballs and thugs away.
ReplyDeleteSo all the thugs come out to see the treme brass band, Korean traditional dance, or bluegrass?? You're ignorance is showing

Just went to the Acme. Saw more geese at the venue than there were humans. Wonder if we will get a detailed accounting of how much money was lost?

ReplyDeleteLook at those dumb a$$ friends of Gay Day "volunteering" for a free t-shirt. Bunch of idiots.

The sad thing is we have to go through this for the next 2 years.
How many seats did they set up? Did they really think that many people were going to sit through that crap?
ReplyDeleteHow did they know which groups needed the biggest area for seating?
Total Failure.
ReplyDeleteAn example of the intelligence of those running this festival and the city.
