*ARRESTED* Marcus J. Massey
Bridgeville- The Delaware State Police have arrested a juvenile on multiple drug charges and a second suspect remains at large.
On Thursday, August 9, 2018 at approximately 4:30 p.m., Troopers were informed of a criminal mischief complaint, in which the victim reported that her rear passenger door to her vehicle sustained a dent from being kicked by her cousin after the two engaged in a verbal argument.
Troopers later responded to the 21000 block of Mill Park Drive, in an attempt to locate the suspect, 17-year-old De'Andre Barham of Selbyville. As Troopers approached the residence, they saw a white in color Chrysler 300 parked in the driveway, occupied by two subjects. Contact was made with the driver, De'Andre Barham, and an odor of marijuana was detected. Troopers had Barham and his passenger, 16-year-old Marcus J. Massey Jr. of Bridgeville, exit the vehicle.
Troopers discovered that Barham was in possession of crack cocaine (approximately .052 grams), at which time Barham began fleeing on foot. Massey remained at the scene, and a search of the vehicle was conducted. The following was located inside the vehicle:
- Approximately 6.33 grams of marijuana
- Over $450.00 in suspected drug proceeds
- 771 bags of heroin (approximately 5.397 grams)
- Oxycodone 30mg pills (2)
Marcus J. Massey was transported back to Troop 5 where he was charged with the following:
- Possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 5 quantity
- Possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a Tier 4 quantity
- Conspiracy Second Degree
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Possession/Consume Marijuana Under 18
- Possession of a substance without a prescription
Massey was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court 3 and released to a guardian on $102,800.00 unsecured bond.
De'Andre Barham has not been located and currently has active warrants out of Troop 5 for the following charges:
- Possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 5 quantity
- Possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a Tier 4 quantity
- Possesses with intent to deliver a controlled substance (crack cocaine)
- Conspiracy Second Degree
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Possession/Consume Marijuana Under 18
- Possession of a substance without a prescription
- Resisting Arrest
- Criminal Mischief
