Greg Gutfeld reacted to an apparent assassination attempt on Venezuelan's socialist president, Nicolas Maduro, in which drones packed with C4 explosives reportedly were flown toward him at a rally.
The country is experiencing nearly 1,000,000 percent inflation, food shortages and violence in the streets.
"Venezuela is a socialist paradise that was once rich. Meaning, if you like Bernie [Sanders], this could be your future," Gutfeld said.
Gutfeld said someone should "page" New York democratic socialist congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and show her the "hyper-inflation [and] human rights violations" that have wrecked what was once the most prosperous country in South America.

ReplyDeleteThey sure are, I agree with 4:31, send ALL of them there, free of charge and see how long they last!
DeleteAre we going to embargo and systematically tariff and destroy ourselves? Why not address the socialist countries who are thriving and continue to have the happiest citizens year after year?
ReplyDeleteSo that's why Bernie lives in a income tax free state, highest college tuition, relaxed gun laws, mostly all white population, owns 3 homes, 8 cars, flys first class only or private, collects full ss benefits, first full time job at 44 and is a 1 percenter...
Delete1,000,000 % inflation. A $3 loaf of bread costs 3,000,000 Venezuelan dollars. You can't even afford the wheelbarrow to haul it around.

ReplyDeleteI am tired of telling people why redistributive or “socialist” economic policies are wrong. But let me start from the beginning once more and come at it from a different angle—or, really, three different angles.
Socialism is bad because it is condescending, inefficient, and immoral.
Webster defines “socialism ” as:
…any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods.
The idea under socialism is that everyone pays taxes and the government, in an equitable way, provides its citizens with the things that they need. While it appeals to many people, socialism is wrong.
As famed French economist Frederic Bastiat put it:
The [socialist] state is the great fictitious entity by which everyone seeks to live at the expense of everyone else.
Sorry, liberals, In the American liberal compass, the needle is always pointing to places like Denmark. Everything they most fervently hope for here has already happened there.
ReplyDeleteDenmark suffers from high rates of alcoholism. In its use of antidepressants it ranks fourth in the world. (Its fellow Nordics the Icelanders are in front by a wide margin.) Some 5 percent of Danish men have had sex with an animal. Denmark’s productivity is in decline, its workers put in only 28 hours a week, and everybody you meet seems to have a government job. Oh, and as The Telegraph put it, it’s “the cancer capital of the world.”
