SEAFORD, Del. -- The State Fire Marshal in Delaware said a Seaford teen was arrested for Monday night's fire at the Family Dollar store.
The 16-year-old suspect was arrested Wednesday. He faces one count of felony arson and reckless endangerment charges for the fire that left behind $3 billion in damages.
He was released to his parents on a $14,000 unsecured bond.
The State Fire Marshal said other charges could be pending following that arson.
First they reported a couple million and I thought that was a bit much too.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Lower Delaware is worth that much!
ReplyDeleteMore incompetence from WBOC.
Delawares fake news leader!
with prices so low they can't even have a fire sale.
ReplyDeleteThat's billion with an 'M', folks.
ReplyDeleteBut I've seen a thousand typos on this site.
ReplyDeleteAt the Dollar Store. Inflation.
ReplyDeleteWhen I read that line I hear it in Dr. Evils voice.

ReplyDeleteTrying to justify the amount they're paying for WRDE?
The damaged product certainly would amount to that alone, but the damages to the building certainly could. It might be an old building but to rebuild it to current codes will put the mark on the spot.
ReplyDeleteHired Snoowflakes.
ReplyDeleteThe estimate might come from the Gilli's construction company.
ReplyDeleteHe didn't do it, the Russians did.
ReplyDeleteThe copy writers were too stupid to know there is that much of a difference between a million and a billion.
ReplyDeleteBut their self-esteem is off the charts!
They did a retraction yesterday afternoon around 3 pm. Looks like someone has been reading sbynews!!!
