Tree Falls On Moving Vehicle In Berlin

This is a picture from earlier today. Ocean Pines Fire EMS dispatched to the area of Racetrack Rd. and Taylorville Ln. for a tree that fell on a moving vehicle. Occupant escaped with minor injuries. 589 was closed for approx 2 hrs.

    Looks to me like the tree was protecting itself. Totally justified.

    Driving thru country roads, we see many trees leaning towards the roads. With all the rain I often wonder why the state and country does not cut down these trees before someone gets hurt badly or worse by fallen trees.

    It was one of those assault trees. They need to be banned.
