Suspicious Fire

A huge fire broke out just after 4:20 p.m. at a marijuana growing operation in Greenfield. Several greenhouses are on fire that are used for cultivating cannabis by Greenfield's largest employer, Loudpack Farms.

    Why all the thick black smoke? That doesn't seem normal. Is that the black tar?

    The black smoke is from the burning plexiglas walls and ceilings of the greenhouses, plus all of the plastic tables, tubs, tubes, pipes, electrical conduit and floor liners. The weed probably accounts for 5% of what's burning. Breathing this smoke would be a bad thing.
