  3. Keep off the barrier 9:54. They are not to hold a big rig from going over, they are a marker to stay within. Sorry for this crash and pray for all involved.

  4. Close bridge to commercial vehicles during wind/storm events. Operator error. A professional driver knows what high winds can do and should stop/avoid a known hazard.

  7. There are already wind restrictions in place, nothing can stop an errant wind gust.
God bless all involved, and prayers for peaceful hearts all around.

I haven't read anything about high winds, just heavy rain. The speed limit was reduced to 35mph. It was a bobtail that went over, he didn't have a trailer. A bobtail doesn't have good traction, especially on a wet road. We don't know what happened yet. I hope the van didn't do a brake check on the truck and caused the accident. But that's just speculation at this point.

Regardless, a man didn't go home. We can point the finger of blame when we know more.
