CNN Blames Trump For Newspaper Shooting That Had Nothing to Do With Him

Gunman’s vendetta against newspaper stretched back 7 years

CNN’s Asha Rangappa blamed Donald Trump’s rhetoric for the shooting of journalists at the Capital Gazette in Annapolis yesterday despite the fact that the gunman’s vendetta against the newspaper stretched back seven years and had nothing to do with Trump.

Armed with smoke grenades and a shotgun, Jarrod W. Ramos opened fire on journalists working at the newspaper yesterday afternoon, killing five.

Almost as soon as the shooting was reported, and with zero knowledge of the gunman’s motive, mainstream press talking heads began blaming Trump’s anti-media rhetoric.

  1. I read Ramos' whole Twitter feed before it was suspended. If anything it was ISIS inspired. He mentioned several times the Charlie Hebdo terrorist attack and the beheading of journalists by ISIS. He was wishing staff of the Capital and the judges involved in his civil suits long before President Trump was a candidate. Just minutes before the shooting he Tweeted F someone I believe a judge. Before that Tweet he hadn't Tweeted in 2 years and made no mention of the President. It's doubtful he even knew who the President is. He had one thing on his brain and one thing only-I hate that paper.

  4. This started during the Obama / Democrat reign. The Democrats started this hatred speech. Now this happens after Maxine Waters and the Democrats became more boisterous in their hatred language toward people you disagree with. So all the blame belongs on the Democrats. This includes all the MD Democrats also.

  5. Perspective time.

Ramos has a beef with the paper in 2012. In 2015 and very early 2016, he makes threatening remarks toward the paper and some of its employees. The he disappears for 2&1/2 years, before he shows up and shoots up the paper, without recent warning. What is society supposed to do about this? Should he have been locked up for the rest of his life to avoid committing this crime at an indeterminate future date and time? And, what about the paper and its employees? They obviously did see this man as a threat, but they were not armed and had no other security in place to prevent him from attacking them.

Now, the people trying to spin this incident as some indictment of President Trump or the possession of firearms KNOW this. They realize that there is no there, there. But, somehow, this has to be the fault of someone other than the lunatic who committed the act and his victims, who chose to be defenseless.

  6. It's now time to take legal action against CNN for slander and false reporting against Mr. Trump and family . The secret service should also take advantage of this reporter and CNN. Enough is enough.

  9. The shooter made his motive clear. Everyone with any common sense can read the real story on the Internet. Liberals are shooting themselves in the foot.

  10. And why are they villanizing President Trump for saying "Prayers" and not really commenting? This isn't national news.
