WASHINGTON — U.S. Customs and Border Protection today released enforcement statistics onCBP.gov. The latest metrics detail enforcement actions for fiscal year 2018 ending in April.
Categories include the arrests of individuals with criminal convictions, nationwide apprehensions by gang affiliation, and total nationwide narcotics seizures.
In FY 2017, Officers and Agents arrested more than 20,000 criminal aliens and nearly 11,000 individuals who were wanted by law enforcement authorities; and seized more than 2.14 million pounds of narcotics, including nearly 1,500 pounds of fentanyl and other synthetic opioids.
